citywave Vilnius Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to citywave Vilnius on Šv. Stepono street, I almost missed it. The entrance is pretty understated for what turns out to be one of the more interesting places I’ve stayed in the Baltic capitals. But that’s kind of the point, isn’t it? This boutique spot doesn’t bother with star ratings or flashy signage because, well, it doesn’t need to. The building itself has this cool industrial-meets-minimalist vibe that somehow works perfectly in Naujamiestis – you know, that part of Vilnius where the locals actually live and work, not just where tourists take pictures.
What really got me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the city. I mean, sure, every hotel claims their people are local experts, but these folks actually directed me to this tiny coffee roastery about three blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms themselves are… look, they’re not going to remind you of your grandmother’s house, but they’re thoughtfully designed in a way that makes you feel like you’re staying somewhere that matters. The beds are surprisingly comfortable – I’m picky about this stuff – and the bathrooms have these rainfall showerheads that actually work properly (you’d be amazed how often that’s not the case). One thing to note: if you’re a light sleeper, ask for a room facing the courtyard rather than the street side. Šv. Stepono can get a bit lively on weekend nights, though honestly, it’s more charming city sounds than actual noise.
The neighborhood context is what really sells this place for me. You’re walking distance from the old town – maybe fifteen minutes if you stroll – but you’re also right in the middle of where actual Vilnius happens. There’s this fantastic Georgian restaurant literally around the corner that the locals pack every evening, and the Saturday morning market on nearby Kalvarijų is worth setting an alarm for. I actually ended up extending my stay by a day because I felt like I was finally getting under the skin of the city rather than just checking off tourist boxes. The 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to be everything to everyone, but what it does, it does really well. If you want a cookie-cutter hotel experience, this isn’t your spot. But if you’re looking for somewhere that feels authentically connected to Vilnius while still being comfortable and well-run, citywave gets it right.
Apartments in Vilnius provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Lithuanian markets and cook with regional Baltic specialties.

Reviews of citywave Vilnius
Lovely space at a very good cost for a road travellers. The area is about to improve, coffee machinm – Katja from Latvia – August 7, 2025 (9/10)
The space is brand new – squeaky clean, stylish and comfortable. Parking is ample and I could leave my car for the entire day after checking out at now cost, while the place is pretty close to the Old Town.
What could be improved: The area is about to be really nice, but what I missed a lot is an opportunity to get some coffee within reach. The closest place working early is 5 minutes walk, so a coffee machine in the lounge would be a significant improvement. Another thing is the bed – it was a double made out of two singles, with a gap in the middle.Good spot if You are staying in the city when you need to be a close proximity to the train station. – Rokas from United Kingdom – July 20, 2025 (10/10)
Clean, comfortable, easy self check-in. Just need to remember to bring the key back to the reception in person.

What could be improved: Personeel communiceert via chat, dus als u geen mobiele inet in LT heeft dan kan je niet weten wat is jouw code om binnen te gaan of wat is de wachtwoord van internet… De telefoon wordt niet opgenomen (6 keer gebeld). Geen tv op kamer.Ideāla vieta un tuvu centram. – Inga from Latvia – July 21, 2025 (10/10)
Ļoti ērta, gultas segas un spilveni ērti. Liela virtuve.

What could be improved: Не было телевизора.Для непритязательных путешественников. – Tandra from Estonia – August 12, 2025 (5/10)
Удобное расположение.
What could be improved: В ванной жили жуки, что оказалось пугающей и неприятной неожиданностью. Номер достаточно потертый, одна розетка и вовсе не работала. При таком раскладе цена за номер завышена.Bad – Molchanova from Poland – June 15, 2025 (1/10)
What could be improved: Nie nocowałam w tym hotelu, bo go nie znalazłam, godzinę krążyła w okolicy, potem się poddałam, wróciłam na dworzec i zamówiłam inny hotel, czuję siebie oszukana
