The apartment setup means you get proper space to spread out, which was a godsend after cramming into tiny European hotel rooms for weeks. I mean, you can actually unpack your suitcase and not live out of it for once. The kitchen wasn’t just for show either – I grabbed groceries from the Maxima down the road and made coffee the way I actually like it. Small thing, but it made mornings so much better. What really sold me was how quiet it gets at night. Verkiai has this residential rhythm where things wind down properly, unlike staying near Gedimino Avenue where trams rattle past until late. You’ll hear some traffic during the day since Ozo connects different parts of the city, but nothing that interferes with sleep.

The location strategy here is pretty smart, actually. You’re maybe fifteen minutes by bus to Cathedral Square, but you’re also walking distance to Verkiai Regional Park if you want to escape into actual nature. I stumbled across this realization on my second day – took a morning walk and suddenly I’m on forest trails instead of city sidewalks. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it is in the historic center, which matters if you’re renting a car to explore outside Vilnius. The 8.6 rating makes complete sense to me. It’s not trying to be a luxury experience with concierges and room service, but everything works exactly as it should. Check-in was smooth, the WiFi actually handled video calls, and housekeeping knew how to fold towels properly – you know, the basics done right. I did notice the shower pressure could be better, and the neighborhood gets pretty quiet on Sundays, but honestly those feel like minor trade-offs for the space and tranquility you get. If you’re the type who needs to be right in the thick of things every minute, maybe look elsewhere. But if you want a genuine base camp that feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed place than a generic hotel, this works really well.

  What could be improved: There was no hot water in the apartment, and the pillows were very small and uncomfortable.
  Additionally, the host did not provide any check-in information in advance — I had to reach out to get it. Even then, I wasn't given the check-in details until I paid the city tax via bank transfer, which felt very strange and inconvenient. Normally, I pay the city tax in cash at check-out, and it's never been a requirement for check-in before.
