Walking up to this place on Švitrigailos street, you might not expect much from the outside (it’s pretty understated), but step inside and you immediately get why this little gem consistently gets such solid ratings. The whole vibe is just… comfortable, you know? Like someone actually thought about what travelers need instead of just throwing together another cookie-cutter place.

What really struck me was how the staff seemed to genuinely know the neighborhood – not just the touristy stuff, but actual local insights. When I mentioned wanting coffee that wasn’t overpriced tourist trap material, the front desk guy pointed me toward this tiny place two blocks over that honestly served some of the best espresso I’ve had in the Baltics. That kind of local knowledge makes all the difference when you’re trying to experience Vilnius like an actual person instead of just checking boxes off a list. The location itself is pretty clever too – you’re in Naujamiestis, which means you can walk to the Old Town when you want that medieval charm, but you’re also close enough to where actual Vilnius residents live and work. I mean, there’s something refreshing about stepping out of your hotel and seeing regular people going about their day instead of just other tourists wandering around with cameras.

The rooms themselves hit that sweet spot between practical and pleasant – nothing fancy, but everything works exactly like it should. Good water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think), decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and windows that actually block out street noise when you need to sleep. Speaking of which, Švitrigailos isn’t one of those crazy busy streets, so you’re not dealing with constant traffic sounds, but you’re also not stuck in some dead zone where nothing’s happening. It’s that perfect middle ground that’s actually pretty hard to find. Honestly, for a 3-star place, they’ve figured out the essentials without trying to be something they’re not – which is refreshing in a world where every hotel seems to be overselling itself. If you’re the type of traveler who values genuine local character over flashy amenities, you’ll probably love this place as much as I did.

  Быстрое размещение, дружелюбные девушки на ресепшн.
  
  What could be improved: Потребовали заплатить налог 2€/чел/ночь, наличными конечно же. Только вот бронирование на букинге включало в себя все налоги и сборы (и даже за ребенка взяли этот налог, хотя он не платится).
  Окно на шумную улицу, и это половинка окна! Темно.
  И в номере явно когда-то курили.
  Чистота +-, этот номер выведен из управления отелем, принадлежит, видимо, частному лицу.
