Vilnius Cat Friendly Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Vilnius Cat Friendly? The name makes it sound like some quirky cat café, but this is actually a proper 4-star place that just happens to welcome your furry travel companions. I mean, finding decent accommodation that lets you bring cats is tough enough, but finding one this nice in Snipiskes – well, that’s something special.
The hotel sits on Širvintų gatvė, which honestly isn’t the most glamorous street name to drop at dinner parties, but here’s the thing locals know: this part of Snipiskes has been quietly transforming over the past few years. You’re far enough from the Old Town tourist crowds to actually breathe, but close enough that a quick bus ride or even a longer walk gets you to all the medieval charm you came for. The Neris River is practically on your doorstep – I actually discovered some lovely walking paths along the water that I never would’ve found staying in the center. Plus, there’s this authentic Lithuanian bakery about two blocks down that does these incredible rye pastries (the hotel staff will point you there if you ask nicely).
What really impressed me was how they’ve managed to nail that balance between pet-friendly and, well, human-friendly. The rooms don’t smell like pet store, there’s no weird carpet choices – just clean, modern spaces with thoughtful touches like extra blankets and those little lint rollers you didn’t know you’d need until you’re traveling with Mr. Whiskers. The 9.1 rating isn’t inflated marketing nonsense either; their housekeeping is genuinely meticulous, and honestly, the front desk staff seemed to remember every guest’s pet’s name, which is either impressive training or genuine animal lovers – probably both. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the elevators are a bit small if you’re traveling with large carriers, but the stairs aren’t terrible if you’re on the second floor. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven in Vilnius will appreciate. I stayed during shoulder season, so I can’t speak to summer chaos, but the neighborhood stays pretty quiet even on weekends – perfect for both human sleep and keeping pets calm in an unfamiliar place.

Reviews of Vilnius Cat Friendly
Villa located on the old-modern, full of contrast district Śnipiszki, 1/2 hr walk to Wilno Old Town. – Dariusz from Poland – August 21, 2025 (8/10)
Located on the right bank odf Wilia river on the old disctict Śnipiszki (interesting mix of historical wooden buldings that remember Polish times with modern arhitectute with concret-glass-plastic tall skyscrapers). Magnificant contrasts. About half on hour walk to the Wilno Old Town. Free parking for visitors on the backyard od the pension. Convinient place for youngs, but honestly – a bit far from the main monuments in the city. Advise to use public transport to get there.
Friendly owner of pennsion.
What could be improved: Lack of infos about the city, public transport etc in the pension. Plans and folders would be welcomed.Exceptional – Jonathan from Canada – August 1, 2025 (10/10)
Super spacious, comfortable. If I wasn’t alone, it would have been a good place to socialize. Host was nice and even lent me a backpack. Even though it’s away from the center, there are many busses to get you there easily.
Exceptional – Eitan from United States – June 12, 2025 (10/10)
Spotless, functional and spacious
Perfect for longer stays – Adam from Czech Republic – July 16, 2024 (10/10)
Comfortable accomodation and lovely host. Definitely recommended for longer stays, since the apartment is quite big and well equipped. My flight was delayed and the host kindly offered to wait for my late check-in and even picked me up from the airport.
Exceptional – Marcin from Poland – July 14, 2024 (10/10)
Super helpful host, close to centre, appartment with a nice touch.
Exceptional – Dzmitry from Netherlands – July 13, 2024 (10/10)
– Everything was just fine, had a great stay there.
What could be improved: – nothing to mention, everything was good.Unique, interesting and affordable. Great combo. – Dmitry from United States – July 1, 2024 (10/10)
This is one of the most unique apartments I ever rented. Designed in 80s style – it has a pool table, stereo system, huge coach and bed. It even has a bar-style table and a table for work.
Lots of space and good combo of price and uniquiness.
I wish I could stay longer, but all days were booked when I was there.
Nice owner too
What could be improved: It's a bit further away from center that I wish it was, but about 25 minutes walk gets you to a city center.
Considering the price – no big deal.Excellent and lovely host. – Angela from United Kingdom – September 20, 2023 (10/10)
The host very kindly came with me by bus in the morning to show me to my hotel.
Nice place to stay for the weekend – Вита from Belarus – September 18, 2023 (9/10)
The best choice for the money. Perfect location: Acropolis, Legendas clubas, Vilnius old town at your doorstep. There’s a supermarket (Maxima) a 5-minute stroll.
The room is large, there’s everything you need for a short stay. Will be a nice choice for a small company: there’s a large couch and a billiard table (at least you can invite your local friends for dinner).
The owner is really nice and helpful.
What could be improved: Linens are quite old and don’t fit the king-size bed. I’d recommend to have your own towel with you too.
There’s no microwave, but that’s not critical: you can use the stove.Exceptional – Gerlinde from Austria – July 25, 2023 (10/10)
Super friendly host. Apartment is a bit of walk from the center, but it's okay.
The equipment of the apartment is not modern, but everything is clean and I actually enjoyed the 80ies style 🙂
