Saint John 2 Bedroom Cottage by Reside Baltic Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Saint John 2 Bedroom Cottage by Reside Baltic? I expected just another generic apartment rental, but this place actually has character. It’s tucked right on Šv. Jono street in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, and I mean literally in the thick of things – you can hear the cobblestones clicking under people’s feet from your window, which is either charming or slightly annoying depending on how light a sleeper you are.
The cottage itself feels more authentic than most of these converted Old Town properties. The two bedrooms are genuinely spacious (not that European “cozy” spacious where you bump into walls), and honestly, the setup works perfectly if you’re traveling with friends or family who actually want some breathing room from each other. I spent a good chunk of time just wandering between the rooms because, well, you don’t often get this much space when you’re staying right in the medieval center. The kitchen is properly equipped too – I mean, you can actually cook a real meal instead of just reheating takeout, which matters when you’re staying more than a couple nights.
Here’s the thing about this location though – Šv. Jono street puts you within stumbling distance of basically everything worth seeing, but it’s not one of those tourist traps where every ground floor is a souvenir shop. You’ll find yourself walking past actual local spots, cafes where people are speaking Lithuanian instead of posing for Instagram. The 7.1 rating might seem modest, but honestly, that feels about right – it’s solid without being flashy, comfortable without trying too hard to impress. I had zero issues with check-in (they actually responded to messages quickly, which is rarer than it should be), and the whole experience felt refreshingly straightforward. Sure, you might hear some street noise on weekend evenings, and the building shows its age in small ways, but that’s sort of the point of staying in a place with actual history instead of some sterile hotel chain. If you want Old Town charm without paying premium prices for unnecessary luxury touches, this cottage delivers exactly what it promises.
Apartments in Vilnius provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Lithuanian markets and cook with regional Baltic specialties.

Reviews of Saint John 2 Bedroom Cottage by Reside Baltic
Fantastic location, spacious apartment – Dianne from United Kingdom – October 30, 2024 (8/10)
Central location , large, comfy beds, large apartment on 3 floors, good shower. The agency who look after the apartment are very efficient – answered all my queries very quickly.
What could be improved: A new sofa would improve the seating areaGreat location in city center with big bedrooms – J from Netherlands – August 5, 2025 (8/10)
The location really in the middle of old center, can’t be better
What could be improved: It was really humid in the bathroom with no ventilation. There were a lot of stairs but we knew that. Parking was very expensive. We thought we could park in a garage for €12 a day but it needed prebooking. The rental agency didn’t make it clear beforehand and I had asked. In the city garage almost a km away was €70 a day. We drove the car to the outskirts of the city and took the bus back. It was really inconvenient and I was not happy with the agency for not having the parking they said we could use, bad communication. Also they sent so many emails about the booking payment, really too many, overkill!Good location, reasonably comfortable but kitchen dinning area was a bit cramped for 4 people if wanting to also watch T – Eugene from Australia – August 2, 2024 (7/10)
The location was very central and in a quiet street with entry through a courtyard.
What could be improved: We were there in July. It was hot and the floor tiles in the kitchen and bathroom were being heated. There was no provision for us to turn off the heating. Reside Baltic offered to send someone over to look at it. We declined because it wasn’t convenient. There were 4 light globes not working. Disappointed that there were absolutely no basic pantry items provided ie salt pepper sugar.Perfect location. Needs renovation. – Kiddi from Iceland – February 25, 2024 (7/10)
It´s well situated and quiet apartment. They bought things what we ask for pretty fast.
What could be improved: I don´t like how it´s dark to come thrue the yard to the apartment. They think one key is enough for 4 person´s family. Apartment needs a renovation as the furniture. Too few dishes and glasses. Feels like rests from somebody home. It´s pretty cheep to make it nice from things bought from IKEA. Very cold on the top floor and no extra heater. Bad cleaning around stairs and corners…Great quiet location….needs much better maintenance and furniture – Mark from United Kingdom – August 7, 2025 (5/10)
Plenty of space
What could be improved: Needs to spend more on basic maintenance! The blinds on the lower bedroom window had broken and were replaced by folding black out blinds with one small clip in the middle to hold them up which still left about one third covered the window…. I had asked for bigger clips so the blinds would clip up the whole of the window…Told they didn’t have any!….they should replaced the blinds with the same as the original ones which were much better???
The same bedroom bed did squeak every time l moved ……which woke my wife up!…Mentioned…nothing done!…..the bolts should b tightened….not a big job!
Very limited mugs, crockery and only one tea towel provided which I thought a bit mean…..lower bedroom sheet not wide enough to tuck under mattress so kept revealing the mattress which is not hygienic when sleeping,
To be honest the furniture was basic quality and should be improved….each bedroom should have a wardrobe and drawers…lower bedroom again had cheap hanging rail and TV display unit??
I could go on!…. Poor maintenance and generally poor quality furniture? WHYExceptional – David from Netherlands – April 30, 2024 (10/10)

Exceptional – Patrick from United Kingdom – December 19, 2023 (10/10)
Perfect place to stay in Vilnius, short and long term! Loved this apartment, it has everything you need, is super comfy, safe and cozy! Hosts are very responsive and always reachable! Thank you for having us!
Very Good – Aniarech from Poland – June 17, 2024 (8/10)
Ładnie urządzone, wszystkie potrzebne sprzęty, czyściutko, rewelacyjna lokalizacja
What could be improved: Dość zimno. To najbardziej popsuło mi humor podczas pobytu w tym mieszkaniuGood – Helen from United Kingdom – October 14, 2024 (7/10)
