Renaissance Key Apartment 29 Overview
You know what really surprised me about Renaissance Key Apartment 29? It’s tucked away on this quiet little stretch of Sodų gatvė, but somehow you’re still right in the thick of Old Town Vilnius. I mean, we’re talking maybe a three-minute walk to Cathedral Square, but the street itself feels almost residential – which is honestly perfect when you want to escape the tourist crowds for a bit.
The apartment itself has this interesting blend going on. It’s clearly been renovated with modern travelers in mind (thank god for good WiFi and a proper shower), but they’ve kept some of those old Baltic character touches that make you remember you’re staying in a 600-year-old city. The windows are tall – really tall – and if you’re lucky enough to snag the right view, you can actually see some of the old city walls from certain angles. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup; it’s not just one of those token mini-fridges and a kettle situation. You can actually cook if you want to, which came in handy when we hit up the Kalvarijų market and came back loaded with local cheese and bread.
The location is honestly what makes this place special though. You’re close enough to Pilies Street that you can stumble back after dinner without calling a taxi, but far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 2 AM. There’s this little bakery called Duona about a block away – locals line up there every morning around 8, and honestly, their šakotis is worth the early wake-up call. Parking was easier than I expected too; there’s actually street parking available most of the time, though you’ll want to grab a spot before evening when people start heading out for dinner. The 9.2 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s one of those places where all the small details just work. Check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and when we had a minor issue with the heating (this was in November, so pretty crucial), someone actually responded within an hour. That’s pretty rare in my experience, especially for an apartment rental. I’d definitely come back, particularly if I was planning to spend more time exploring beyond just the main tourist circuit – having a real base in Old Town, rather than just a hotel room, changes how you experience the city.

Great location. Great stay. Very quiet and lovely courtyard access. Rooms were great size. And facilities were excellent. Coffee shop in building.
What could be improved: Very warm in summer.Exceptional – Anastasija from Latvia – January 28, 2025 (10/10)
Everything was perfect
Exceptional – Valentins from Latvia – November 18, 2024 (10/10)
Everything was perfect.
Highly recommended.
What could be improved: The instructions for getting into the apartment are a little different from reality.
The instruction says "The entrance to the building is from Šv. Stepono g. 33". In fact, there are three buildings with the same address (Šv. Stepono g. 33) and the entrance to the correct one is from the Punsko g. not Šv. Stepono g.
If can get it, otherwise no problem.Very nice stay. Highly recommended – Susan from Denmark – August 11, 2024 (10/10)
All rooms were clean and spacious with high ceilings and hard floors. The bathrooms were made with quality materials. The beds and the temperature of the rooms were nice. The surroundings were quiet. Check-in and check-out was smooth.
What could be improved: Minor issues only. The view was dull. The garbage container in basement could not be used and we had to use the containers outside the building. No soap provided for the shower.Had a truly relaxing break. – Guy from United Kingdom – August 3, 2023 (10/10)
Exceptional apartment! Will definitely be booking again.
What could be improved: Would have liked to stay longerExceptional – Przemysław from Poland – March 16, 2023 (10/10)
Situated near Old Town- 5-10 min walk. Quiet neighborhood and high standard rooms helped us to rest after a day long sightseeing and prepare for the next one. To keep it short- I would recommend staying at this place.
