Apartments in the old town Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Apartments in the old town on K. Sirvydo street, you immediately get that “I’m staying somewhere special” feeling. The building sits right in the heart of Vilnius Old Town — I mean, you’re literally surrounded by cobblestone streets and medieval architecture. It’s one of those four-star places that doesn’t try too hard to impress you with flashy lobbies, but the location does all the talking. You know you’ve hit the jackpot when you can hear church bells from your window and see Gothic spires from the entrance.

Location & Neighborhood

Honestly, the location is what makes this place shine. You’re a two-minute walk from Cathedral Square, and Gediminas Tower is practically in your backyard. I spent my mornings wandering down to the Gates of Dawn without even planning it — everything just flows naturally when you’re this central. The street itself is quiet enough that you won’t get woken up by traffic, but lively enough that there’s always something happening. Couples seem to gravitate here (and I can see why), since you can easily stroll hand-in-hand through those romantic narrow streets that Vilnius does so well.

The Apartments

The apartments themselves feel more like staying in a local’s well-appointed flat than a typical hotel room. Each unit has its own character — some have exposed brick walls, others feature those tall windows that let in streams of Baltic light. The kitchenettes are actually functional, which is refreshing since most hotel “kitchens” are just for show. You’ll find everything you need for a proper breakfast or late-night snack, plus the space to spread out your stuff without living out of a suitcase. The bathrooms are modern without being sterile, and the beds are comfortable enough that I actually slept past my alarm (which never happens when I travel).

Exploring from Here

What I loved most was how easy it became to live like a temporary Vilnius resident. The morning bakery run to Pilies Street takes about thirty seconds, and you can grab groceries at the small markets tucked between the historic buildings. Evening walks to Užupis — that quirky artist republic — become a natural routine when you’re staying at Apartments in the old town. You don’t need to plan your days around transportation or worry about getting back to some distant hotel district. Everything worth seeing is either walkable or a quick hop on public transport.

Why Guests Love It

Recent guests consistently rave about the location, and after staying here, I totally get it. There’s something magical about stepping out your door directly into UNESCO World Heritage territory. The apartments strike that perfect balance between independence and service — you get your own space and kitchen freedom, but housekeeping and front desk support when you need it. It’s particularly brilliant for couples who want to experience Vilnius at their own pace, maybe cook a romantic dinner with local ingredients, then step out for evening drinks in the Old Town’s cozy bars. The 7.5 rating feels about right — it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but it nails what matters most: putting you right where you want to be.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Vilnius at least two months ahead for major events like cultural festivals, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near historic attractions.

What could be improved: Mažai privatumo iš lauko, reikėtų mažiau šviesos praleidžiančių užuolaidų.

  • Exceptional – Inesa from Lithuania – August 11, 2025 (10/10)

  • Very Good – Brikaite from Lithuania – June 27, 2025 (8/10)

  • Very Good – Sandrauk from United Kingdom – June 2, 2025 (8/10)

Very responsive and friendly owners, free parking, great location.

What could be improved: Damp smell in the room, which only goes away when windows are open, but they are on basement floor and face a busy street. If you are staying during the week, roadworks next to your windows will start from 8am, be prepared to be woken up.

  • Very Good – Malanicheva from Lithuania – May 26, 2025 (8/10)

Very good central location. Nice renovation inside, all was perfectly keep. Immediate answers from owner.

What could be improved: keep in mind its very ground floor. There was little smell from bathroom, but if you open windows all is good.

  • Disappointing – Estere from Latvia – May 20, 2025 (4/10)

Location was really good and free parking was nice benefit.

What could be improved: It was freezing cold, had to sleep with 3 blankets. Apartment had unpleasant smell and one of the blanket had stains.

  • Na zwiedzanie Wilna poświęciliśmy dwa dni (jeden nocleg), to w zupełności wystarczy. Dobre położenie apartamentu gearant – Witold from Poland – May 4, 2025 (8/10)

    Położenie blisko Centrum

What could be improved: Ulica przy której jest ten apartament jest remontowana, więc trudno było odnaleźć adres.
