I mean, you’ve got a proper kitchen (and I actually used it – made coffee every morning and even cooked dinner one night), plus there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re playing Tetris with your suitcase. The furnishings aren’t trying too hard to be trendy, which I appreciated – just comfortable, lived-in pieces that make sense. Actually, the couch was way better than I expected for afternoon naps between exploring. The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, and honestly, the water pressure was better than my last two “luxury” hotel stays.

What really makes this place work is the location – you’re right in the thick of things without being on top of a noisy main drag. I could walk to most of the places I wanted to see, and there’s this great little bakery just around the corner that locals actually go to (not just tourists). Parking was easier than I thought it would be, though you might have to circle the block once or twice during busy evening hours. The neighborhood has that perfect balance where it feels safe to walk around at night, but you’re not in some sterile tourist bubble either. I loved hearing the sounds of real life – people coming home from work, kids playing in the courtyard, that sort of thing. Check-in was straightforward, no drama, and the host actually gave me some solid recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist traps. The 8.4 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be fancy, but it nails the fundamentals and gives you a genuine taste of what it’s like to live in the old town rather than just visit it.
