New Town Home Overview

You know what struck me first about New Town Home? It’s honestly one of those places where the name actually makes sense – tucked right into Naujamiestis (literally “new town” in Lithuanian), it really does feel more like crashing at a friend’s well-kept apartment than staying at a traditional hotel. I mean, the building sits on Vivulskio Street, which is this perfectly quiet residential road that somehow puts you within easy walking distance of pretty much everything you’d want to see in Vilnius.

The whole setup is refreshingly straightforward – no marble lobbies or doormen in fancy uniforms, just clean lines and that Scandinavian-influenced aesthetic that seems to work so well in the Baltics. What I really appreciated (and this might sound boring, but trust me) was how incredibly quiet it gets at night. You’re close enough to the old town that you can walk there in fifteen minutes, but far enough from the weekend party crowds that you’ll actually sleep well. The rooms have this lived-in comfort to them – not flashy, but everything works properly, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and honestly, the beds are better than what you’d expect from a 3-star place. I noticed they’ve got these thick curtains that actually block out the light, which is clutch during those endless summer days when the sun’s still up at 10 PM.

Here’s the thing though – and locals will back me up on this – staying in Naujamiestis means you’re living like Vilnius residents actually do. There’s a Maxima grocery store just a few blocks away if you want to grab supplies, and you’re right near some of the city’s better coffee spots that tourists never find because they’re too busy hunting down the obvious old town cafés. The staff genuinely seems to know the neighborhood; when I asked about good breakfast places, the guy at reception didn’t just point me toward hotel partners but actually recommended this little bakery on Jogailos Street where locals grab pastries on their way to work. That 8.4 rating starts to make sense when you realize it’s probably coming from people who appreciate that kind of authentic, no-nonsense approach. Sure, you won’t get room service or a concierge in a suit, but you will get a solid night’s sleep in a genuinely comfortable space that doesn’t feel like every other cookie-cutter hotel room you’ve ever stayed in.

Early hotels booking in Vilnius requires advance planning during peak cultural seasons when visitors flock to enjoy the city’s magnificent baroque architecture and vibrant arts scene.

  • cheap, convenient and very pleasant place – Marie from Lithuania – March 18, 2025 (10/10)

I loved the location!!! and the room that i paid for wasnt big, but cozy and very cheap. Overall, it exceeded my expectations for the price. As the saying goes "you get what you pay for" i believe applies nearly everywhere, except this time i was pleasantly surprised. Amazing, will most definitely return here in the future! Also the place was very clean, none of the other hotels ive been at surpass this one

What could be improved: Het telefoonnummer bij de balie klopte niet. Gelukkig werkte het telefoonnummer in de informatie van booking.com wel.

  • Good – Līga from Latvia – August 3, 2025 (7/10)

Ērtas gultas, kluss, plašs dzīvoklis. Nodalītas istabas. Gaismu slāpējošie aizkari ļāva labi izgulēties.

What could be improved: Dušā pelējums.
Pirms ierašanās neatsūtīja piekļuves kodus, bija jāgaida 30 minūtes, kamēr tikām iekšā.
Nākamajā rītā, lai izbrauktu ārā nevarējām sazvanīt, lai izlaiž no parkinga. Tikām ārā pateicoties iedzīvotājam. Neviens arī vēlāk neatzvanīja.
    Slikta komunikācija.

No divām kartiņām ieejai strādāja tikai viena.
