My home Vilnius Overview

I’ll be honest – when I first heard the name My home Vilnius, I thought it sounded a bit too cute, you know? But walking into this place on Manufaktūrų gatvė completely changed my mind. It’s tucked into this converted industrial building (the street name literally means “manufacturing street”), and there’s something really special about how they’ve transformed the old brick and steel into something that actually feels like… well, like home.

The thing about this boutique spot is that it doesn’t try to be fancy in that stuffy hotel way – there’s no marble lobby or uniformed doormen. Instead, you get these beautifully designed spaces that feel lived-in and comfortable. I mean, the common areas have books you’d actually want to read, not just leather-bound decorations, and the furniture is the kind you’d hunt for in vintage shops. The rooms themselves are pretty remarkable too – each one feels different, with thoughtful touches like locally-sourced textiles and artwork from Lithuanian artists. What really got me was the attention to small details: proper reading lights (thank god), blackout curtains that actually work, and bathrooms with rainfall showers that don’t leave you cramped against the wall.

Location-wise, you’re in Šnipiškės, which is honestly one of my favorite neighborhoods in Vilnius now. It’s across the river from Old Town – maybe a 15-minute walk to Cathedral Square – but it feels more authentic somehow. There’s this great coffee roastery called Crooked Nose & Coffee Stories just down the street, and you’re walking distance to some excellent restaurants that locals actually frequent. The area can get a bit quiet in the evenings (it’s more residential than touristy), but that’s honestly refreshing after spending days wandering through crowds. Parking was surprisingly easy when I visited in September – there’s street parking nearby, though I’d imagine it gets trickier during summer months when everyone’s visiting. The 9-point-something rating this place gets makes perfect sense once you experience it. It’s not trying to be everything to everyone, but what it does – creating this warm, design-forward space that feels authentically Lithuanian – it does really, really well.

  La posizione è ottima, quartire moderno a 20 minuti di bella passeggiata lungo il fiume per andare in centroo nelle zone di interesse
  
  What could be improved: E' la prima volta che l'appartamento viene affittato il proprietario deve aggiungere un hair drier e anche prevedere un video con le istruzioni di accesso, perchè solo con l'indirizzo non è facilissimo trovare il cancello, e poi l'ingresso allo stabile.
