This place sits right on Sodų gatvė, which honestly most tourists walk right past on their way to the main Old Town squares, but that’s exactly why it works so well. You’re literally steps from all the cobblestone charm and medieval towers, but you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups that camp out around Town Hall Square.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives there (in the best way possible). The AC was a godsend when I visited in July – I mean, Vilnius summers can be surprisingly muggy, and a lot of Old Town places just rely on those tiny windows for airflow. The penthouse setup means you’re getting views over the red tile rooftops, and if you crane your neck a bit from the main room, you can actually glimpse Gediminas Tower in the distance. What I really appreciated were the small touches that showed someone was thinking practically – decent kitchen setup if you want to grab groceries from the IKI just down the street, and the shower pressure was actually decent, which honestly isn’t a given in these older buildings. The 10 rating makes sense when you experience it firsthand, though I was a bit skeptical at first.

Here’s what you should know if you’re considering staying here: parking is going to be street parking (welcome to Old Town), but there’s usually spots on the smaller side streets if you circle around a bit. The building entrance is sort of tucked away – I actually walked past it twice before realizing the small doorway was it. Once you’re settled though, you’re in this perfect bubble where you can walk to Pilies Street for dinner, hit up the morning market at Hales, or just wander down toward the river without any of it feeling like a trek. The neighborhood gets quiet after about 10 PM, which was perfect for me, but if you’re looking for late-night action right outside your door, you’d want to be closer to Vokiečių or Stiklių streets instead. What really won me over was how the place felt like a genuine slice of Vilnius life – you’ll hear church bells from St. Casimir’s in the morning, smell bread from the bakery around the corner, and probably nod hello to the same elderly gentleman walking his tiny dog every evening at 6 PM sharp.
