Mabre Residence Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Mabre Residence on Maironio Street, you immediately sense you’ve found something special in Vilnius Old Town. This four-star property sits right in the medieval heart of the city, and honestly, the location couldn’t be better — I mean, couples consistently rate it 9.6 out of 10, which tells you everything you need to know. The building itself has that refined European charm you hope for when booking a place in Lithuania’s capital, without feeling stuffy or overly formal.
The Old Town Experience
What I love about staying here is how you’re literally surrounded by centuries of history. You can walk to Vilnius Cathedral in about five minutes, and the cobblestone streets leading to Gediminas Tower are right at your doorstep. The neighborhood has this wonderful mix of locals heading to work and tourists discovering hidden courtyards — you know, that authentic European city vibe that’s getting harder to find. There’s something magical about stepping out in the morning and being immediately immersed in one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval old towns.
The Accommodations
The rooms at Mabre Residence strike that perfect balance between modern comfort and local character. You’ll find everything you actually need without unnecessary frills, and the attention to detail shows in small touches that matter after a long day of sightseeing. What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being in such a central location — the Old Town can get lively, especially during summer evenings, but somehow the rooms remain peaceful. The fact that so many guests return here speaks volumes about the overall experience.
Breakfast and Practical Perks
The breakfast situation is actually quite impressive — they offer everything from full English spreads to vegetarian and vegan options, plus a proper buffet setup. I appreciate when hotels understand that travelers have different dietary needs, and they’ve clearly thought this through. Another huge plus is the private parking, which honestly saves you a lot of headache in Old Town Vilnius where finding a spot can be a real challenge. These practical details might not sound glamorous, but they make your stay so much smoother.
Why Guests Love It
There’s a reason people keep coming back to this place — it delivers on the essentials while giving you that authentic Vilnius experience. The location score of 9.6 isn’t just a number; it reflects how perfectly positioned you are to explore everything from the bohemian Užupis district to the bustling markets near the Gates of Dawn. You’re not just staying in a hotel; you’re living temporarily in one of Europe’s most charming capitals, with all the convenience of modern amenities when you need them. For couples especially, this seems to hit all the right notes for a memorable Baltic getaway.

Reviews of Mabre Residence
Sometimes the small things make the big difference. The hotel forgot it – Hen from Israel – August 23, 2025 (7/10)
The location is perfect.
Staff at the reception the first days was very friendly and helpful.
What could be improved: The staff, sometimes petfect sonetimes less. Depends the person.
I took a suite. Bedroom and living room.
In the living slept the daughters. My wife and me slept in the bedroom.
There is air conditioner in the livingroom but not in the bedroom. I can not understand it.
Unless one of the staff gave me the fan, i couldn't sleep at night. Thank god i had this guy.
The air conditioner sometimes works and sometimes not.they tried to fix it, but still…
They have not refeel the soap for the wole period we were there(Mon-Fri).
They have not renew us with toilets paper unless we asked them(Thu).
The staff at the restaurant (which is not belong to the hotel) is terrible. Very unfriendly.
The breakfast is ok.not more.Wonderful – Marek from Czech Republic – August 22, 2025 (9/10)
Excellent location and perfect view from windows.
We liked spatious presidential apartman and comfortable bed.
No problem wiht late check-in and friendly staff.
What could be improved: Small imperfections:
– We had president apartman, but the bathroom has bad air exchange.
– Breakfast is served in very small space, so it was crowded a bit.Very Good – Yannick from Switzerland – August 18, 2025 (8/10)
The location is almost perfect for visiting Vilnius.
The place is peaceful. The restaurant is a super good steak house.
What could be improved: not worth the usual 4 stars. furniture a bit outdated. It’s good, but not that good (for that price) – Jānis from Latvia – August 8, 2025 (8/10)
Location
What could be improved: Overall, there is nothing wrong with the place, except that we had the feeling that it is marketed higher than it actually is.Beautiful place to stay in the heart of Vilnius – Jj from United Kingdom – August 8, 2025 (9/10)
Great facilities and huge apartment – Presidential suite.
What could be improved: You have to pay for the spa and parkingVery Good – Olga from Poland – August 8, 2025 (8/10)
Localisation is super, everything is close but it’s very quiet inside; internal yard with breakfast/dinner tables is very atmospheric place, very relaxing to be in. We were in superior, so bathroom and sleeping room were spacious. Nice view to the street, 2 windows. Parking was just inside the yard, very convenient. Breakfast was good, several hot dishes and selection of cold ones, fruits and sweets included; coffee was quite good for the hotels’ ones.
What could be improved: All the interior needs renovation, it is “frozen” early 2000th 🙂 If you want to keep windows open (as we like) there is quite a lot of noise from the street, yard view would be much better. Conditioning is very noisy, old style, we were switching it on when we were not in the room only.Quiet, relaxing and a nice place to come back to after work at the University. – T from United Kingdom – August 6, 2025 (9/10)
From checking in to the minute I left the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful – even teaching me a few basic words of Lithuanian. The hotel is old so only has stairs but I prefer that. The breakfast was ideal and had the right mix of things for every palate. The hotel is well placed for central Vilnius, everything is within walking distance, but is quiet and surrounded by beautiful old buildings. Thank you Mabre Residence
What could be improved: It was all exactly what I hoped for.Wonderful – Andree from Belgium – August 4, 2025 (9/10)
We had a room on the ground floor, which was very easy to reach with a recently operated knee. We could park our car safely on the premise. We could have breakfast outside in the garden. We had one dinner at the hotel, which was OK.
We had another dinner at Le Travi in Uzipis republic – very good.
What could be improved: There was a lot if choice at breakfast, but don´t come late. Not everything was added later on.Nice place and nice staff – Liane from United States – July 23, 2025 (8/10)
The property was overall nice and in a good location.
What could be improved: Breakfast not starting until 7:30 am.A fine hotel in a quiet location and a superb restaurant. – Rodney from Canada – July 21, 2025 (9/10)
The residence is in a nice location. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard in front. The restaurant serves very good meals including a breakfast with a variety of items to choose from.
