I’ll be honest – when I first walked into Hotel Vilnia, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. But wow, this place really surprised me in all the best ways. The lobby hits you with this perfect blend of modern Lithuanian design and old-world charm that somehow doesn’t feel forced or touristy. You know what I mean? It’s like they actually thought about creating a space rather than just throwing together some generic hotel furniture.

The staff here genuinely seems to care, which is refreshing after staying at so many places where check-in feels like a chore for everyone involved. Actually, the front desk manager (I think her name was Ruta?) gave me some incredible restaurant recommendations that I never would have found on my own – places tucked away in courtyards where locals actually eat, not the obvious tourist traps. The rooms are exactly what you’d want from a solid 4-star property: clean, comfortable beds that you actually sleep well in, decent-sized bathrooms with water pressure that works. Nothing fancy, but everything done right. I stayed on the third floor and it was surprisingly quiet, even though we’re talking about a city center location here.

What really sets this place apart though is how it feels authentically connected to Vilnius without trying too hard. The breakfast spread includes some traditional Lithuanian items alongside the usual continental stuff – and I mean the good versions, not sad hotel interpretations. There’s this honey cake that’s honestly worth getting up early for. The building itself has character too; you can tell it has history but they’ve updated it thoughtfully. Parking was easier than I expected (there’s a small lot behind the building), which anyone who’s driven in Old Town will appreciate. The 9.2 rating makes total sense when you stay here – it’s not trying to be the flashiest place in the city, but it nails all the things that actually matter when you’re traveling. If you’re looking for somewhere that feels like a discovery rather than just another booking, this is your spot.

  Very well situated in the old Town, you can visit everything by walking. Beautifully renovated building with modern stylish decoration, confortable beds and very varied breakfast for all tastes. I can only recommend this hotel.

  The room was comfortable, spacious with a lovely bathroom. The location was good for sightseeing. Breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from and when we left early on our last day they provided a generous breakfast box for the journey. The Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

  Nothing not to like. Perfect location, the Old Town and all its highlights so close by plus a beautiful park on the doorstep. Room lovely, breakfast lovely, reception staff lovely…overall, lovely! No wonder it's in the 2024 Michelin hotel guide

  Lovely, well-appointed hotel in a good location. Excellent value for money. The entire hotel appeared spotless. The elevator was a bonus! The beds were very comfortable. Room was very clean. Bathroom amenities were great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Even with a few things that were not as we liiked (shower control / room temperature) we would definitely stay here again.
