Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Vilnius Old Town, but Historic Bliss In Vilnius Old Town actually lives up to its name – which honestly surprised me a bit when I first booked it. You know how these boutique places can sometimes oversell themselves? This one doesn’t need to.

The location on Šv. Mikalojaus street is just… perfect, really. I mean, you’re literally steps from St. Nicholas Church (which is where the street gets its name, obviously), and you can walk to Pilies Street in maybe two minutes. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize – this particular stretch is just far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with crowds of tour groups clomping past your window at 7 AM. The cobblestones here are original 16th century stuff, and you can actually feel the history under your feet when you’re walking back after dinner. The building itself has this weathered limestone facade that catches the morning light beautifully – I found myself taking way too many photos from different angles.

What really got me, though, was how they’ve managed to blend the old bones of the place with genuinely comfortable modern touches. The rooms have these thick medieval walls that keep everything surprisingly quiet, even when there’s a bit of nightlife happening around Cathedral Square. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no endless forms or upselling, just genuine recommendations about where to grab the best kibinai (go to Kibininė if you take their advice). The staff actually knows the neighborhood, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how rare that is. They told me about this tiny courtyard behind the Literatų Street that I never would have found otherwise, and it became my favorite spot for morning coffee. Parking can be a bit tricky – well, it’s the Old Town, so that’s expected – but they’ll sort you out with directions to the closest spots that won’t cost you a fortune. The 9.5 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there; it’s the kind of place where small thoughtful details add up to something really special. Sure, it’s a 3-star property technically, but honestly? It feels more polished than some 4-star places I’ve stayed at in other European capitals. If you’re the type who wants to feel like you’re actually experiencing Vilnius rather than just passing through it, this is your spot.

  Old Town location was brilliant. Proximity to Town Hall and attractions. Apartment is well furnished and equipped. Parking in the yard was an added bonus, however it took a couple of attempts to bring the car in!
  
  What could be improved: Having a microwave would have been nice. In addition, the bricks were cracking and debris was falling from time to time. Since we were traveling with our son, it would have been nice to have privacy blinds in the living/sofa bed areas as well.

  No nos quedó claro si estuvo bien que aparcáramos en el patio interior. Los vecinos mostraron su descontento a pesar de que el personal de booking nos dijo que sí que se podía aparcar allí.
