I mean, the furniture isn’t going to win any design awards, but everything works and it’s clean, which matters more than Instagram-worthy aesthetics when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days.

What really won me over was the location, though I’ll admit it took me a day to appreciate it. You’re about a 15-minute bus ride from Old Town – not walking distance, sure, but the public transport here is ridiculously efficient and cheap. Plus, being slightly outside the center means you can actually find street parking if you’ve got a car, and the neighborhood has proper grocery stores and cafes where locals go, not just tourist traps. The building itself is one of those Soviet-era blocks that looks intimidating from the outside but turns out to be surprisingly solid – thick walls mean you won’t hear your neighbors, and the heating actually works (crucial during Lithuanian winters, trust me). I stayed here during a particularly cold February and never once felt drafty or uncomfortable. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you spend a night or two – it’s not fancy, but it delivers exactly what it promises, and sometimes that’s worth more than all the marble lobbies in the world.

  Pokojíček byl útulný a naprosto splnil mé požadavky. Nejdůležitější pro mě byla lokalita – v okolí byla spousta parků a zeleně, dobrý přístup do centra i za město. Ubytování s pejsky bez problémů.
