I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Žvėryno studija on Studentų gatvė, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard apartment building. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard to impress you from the street. This little studio setup in Zverynas turned out to be exactly what I needed, and honestly, that 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’re inside.

The thing about Zverynas is that it’s got this residential vibe that most tourists never experience – you’re living like an actual Vilnius local, not stuck in some sterile hotel district. I mean, you can walk to the Old Town in about fifteen minutes if you’re feeling energetic, but there’s something nice about coming back to a neighborhood where people are just going about their normal lives. The studio itself is surprisingly well thought out for such a compact space. Everything actually works (which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given with apartment rentals), and whoever set this place up clearly understands what travelers need. The kitchen area is small but functional – I managed to make coffee every morning without wanting to tear my hair out, which is more than I can say for some fancier places I’ve stayed.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re right in the city. Studentų gatvė isn’t one of those crazy busy streets, so you can actually sleep with the windows open when the weather’s nice. The neighborhood has this tree-lined feel that reminds you why they call this area Zverynas – it literally means “menagerie” or “zoo” in Lithuanian, though don’t worry, the only wildlife you’ll encounter are the occasional cats wandering around. There’s a small grocery store within a couple blocks where the elderly Lithuanian woman behind the counter will nod approvingly if you attempt even basic Lithuanian pleasantries (which I definitely recommend trying). Parking was easier than I expected too – not like the nightmare you hear about in other European city centers. Sure, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or a concierge, but honestly? The simplicity works in its favor. You get a clean, comfortable space without paying for a bunch of amenities you probably won’t use anyway. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward, and the communication was clear throughout. I actually found myself staying in longer than planned some evenings just because it felt like a proper little home base rather than somewhere you just crash between sightseeing.

  I like literally everything! It is so clean, cozy, and super quiet even though it's near the business center. I like the owner of accommodating guest by providing drinkable bottle of water, very considerate. I hope next time when I come to Vilnius it will be available for me to book it again. I really love this studio.

  Good location for walking by the river into the city, multiple bus stops close as well including one to get to airport. Property has washer dryer and it works really well. Kitchen is well equipped. Nespresso machine with coffee pod for each day was also available.
  
  What could be improved: Packing away sofa bed each day is a bit annoying. Would be good to have oven, microwave oven combo or air fryer to make ready made meals, kitchen limited to boiling and frying.

  Puikiai įrengtas butas. Yra kavos aparatas, skalbimo mašina (jei aktualu), pilnai įrengta ir komplektuota virtuvė. San mazge optimaliai išnaudotos erdvės. Labai daug spintų, patogu susidėti daiktus jei atvyksite ilgesniam laikui.
  Labai švaru ir puiki komunikacija su buto šeimininkais.
  Gera vieta mieste, rami aplinka ir lengvai pasiekiamas centras.

  הדירה נקיה, מסודרת, כל הכלים חדשים, בעל הבית ענה על כל השאלות ובמהירות, היה זמין.
  לא היה סבון רחצה, שמפו בדירה, לכן מומלץ להביא. כך גם קפה וסוכר.
