Vilnius Town Apartmen Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Vilnius Town Apartmen on Tauro gatvė, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries are the ones that sneak up on you. This little gem sits right in Naujamiestis (which locals just call “New Town,” though it’s not exactly new by American standards), and there’s something genuinely charming about how it doesn’t try too hard to impress you.
The thing about staying here is that you’re actually living like a local for a few days, not just passing through like a tourist. The apartments – and I mean actual apartments, not hotel rooms pretending to be apartments – have this lived-in feel that somehow manages to be both comfortable and clean. I loved having a proper kitchen because, honestly, eating out for every meal in Vilnius gets expensive fast, and there’s a great little market just a few blocks away where you can grab fresh bread and local cheese. The 8.7 rating makes total sense once you settle in – it’s not flashy, but everything works the way it should. The Wi-Fi is solid (I was working remotely during my stay), the shower has decent water pressure, and the beds are actually comfortable, which… well, that’s not always a given in this price range.
What really sold me on the location was how walkable everything is from Tauro gatvė. You’re maybe fifteen minutes on foot from the Old Town – close enough that you don’t need taxis but far enough that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds when you just want to grab coffee in the morning. There’s this little café around the corner that the hotel staff recommended, and I ended up going there three mornings in a row because their pastries were incredible and the barista remembered my order by day two. That’s the kind of neighborhood feel you get staying here. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (street parking fills up pretty quickly), but the public transport connections are solid if you need to get to the airport or train station. I mean, Vilnius isn’t a huge city anyway, so getting around is pretty straightforward once you figure out the bus routes. The only minor thing I’d mention is that weekend nights can get a bit lively since you’re in a residential area where actual people live and socialize – but honestly, that felt more authentic than being stuck in some sterile hotel district.

Reviews of Vilnius Town Apartmen
Highly recommended! – Tamuna from Georgia – June 6, 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is really great to stay in Vilniaus.
Very close to central, few minutes of walk. U have all necessary, fridge, shower, iron, hair dryer and bathroom staff. Very clean, light and cozy apartment. Was pleasure for me to stay here. Owner very friendly and response very fast.
What could be improved: –Very nice studio – Andris from Latvia – January 24, 2025 (9/10)
Very nice studio – neat, clean, quiet. Windows open to a not very busy street. Very good location, in the center, shops nearby (big Maxima open till midnight). The host sent detailed instructions how to find the place and collect the keys way in advance. Later check-out was possible. The host always responded to WhatsApp messages (even when I dialed him after midnight by accident, my bad). Overall really nice place to stay in and a great value for money.
What could be improved: Nothing really to complain about, just some remarks – the shower space is small and the shower curtain gets in a way sometimes, maybe shower cubicle would be better; bathroom could use some hooks to hang clothes/towels; refrigerator makes strange noise (not loud or annoying, just strange)Exceptional – Neskquik from Belarus – June 28, 2024 (10/10)
Everything
What could be improved: Haven’t got an elevatorPerfect stay – Anna from Poland – July 29, 2023 (10/10)
Very clean and comfortable, it had everything I needed
What could be improved: My stay was too short 🙂Excellent – Jolanta from United Kingdom – July 21, 2023 (10/10)
The communication with the host was easy and reliable. The apartment was very clean and cosy. We had a restful sleep after a long journey. It was a pleasant walk to the bus station after our stay.I would definetely recommend staying here.
Nice apartment close to the Old Town – Bertola from Italy – August 11, 2025 (9/10)
Great location, the apartment is small but fully equipped and cosy! Comfortable sofa bed and nice little kitchen. The area is very green and relaxed, very close to the city centre and with all the shops and restaurants you may need.
What could be improved: The curtains are very flimsy so they don't really shade the room from the sun and the streetlights. This means that if you're a light sleeper and need a dark room this may not be ideal, plus on the (albeit rare) hot days the apartment may get stuffy, but there is a fan.Great Location and Value for Money – Victoria from Romania – July 14, 2025 (8/10)
The apartment itself is clean, nicely renovated, and well-equipped — everything needed for a comfortable stay is available. It’s in a very convenient location, close to the old city center, restaurants, and public transport. The price is also very reasonable for what you get.
Despite mentioned below minor issues, I think the apartment offers a good price-to-value ratio and would recommend it, especially if location is a priority for you.
What could be improved: The only downside is the building itself, which is older and hasn't been renovated. Also, the windows face a street with quite a bit of traffic, even at night. This can be a problem in summer — there’s no air conditioning, so you’ll need to keep the windows open for fresh air, which means dealing with some noise. The stay was great, good location. Warm staff. – Barbora from Lithuania – November 10, 2024 (8/10)
The location was really nice and everything in the apartment was comfortable.
What could be improved: I never lived in a building like this before so i was a bit thrown off by the hallways, but i got used to them really quickly.Good – Plintauskas from Lithuania – October 11, 2024 (7/10)
There was a TV. For a price and location it was good. Experience was good.
What could be improved: Thin walls (it's an older building so I get it). Small shower: almost had to fight shower curtain (maybe a taller person would fit easier). Some spots on sofa-bed.Good – Mario from Sweden – August 18, 2023 (7/10)
The room was clean. It has good quality shampoo and shower gel and soap.
What could be improved: The building was scary. It looks like a renovated military facility.
