Vilnius Old Town Happiness Overview
You know what really struck me about Vilnius Old Town Happiness? The name actually fits – which honestly surprised me because hotel names are usually just marketing fluff. But there’s something genuinely cheerful about this place that hits you right when you walk through the door. Maybe it’s the way the staff greets you (and I mean actually greets you, not that robotic “welcome” thing), or how the whole building feels like someone’s favorite grandmother decided to open a hotel.
I’ll be straight with you – it’s a solid 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or turndown service. But here’s the thing: the location puts you right in the heart of Old Town where you can literally stumble out the front door and find yourself on those gorgeous cobblestone streets that make Vilnius feel like a fairy tale. You’re walking distance from Pilies Street with all its amber shops and cozy cafes, and honestly, you’ll probably get lost at least once trying to navigate back (the medieval street layout is charming but, well, medieval). The Cathedral Square is maybe a 7-minute walk if you don’t get distracted by the street musicians – which you will.
What really won me over was how the place feels lived-in rather than sterile. The rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works, and you can actually open the windows to let in fresh air instead of being stuck with recycled hotel air conditioning. Some rooms look out over the courtyard – those are quieter if you’re sensitive to the sounds of Old Town nightlife, which can get a bit lively on weekends. The breakfast is… well, it’s continental breakfast, but they do have decent local bread and the coffee is strong enough to fuel your day of wandering around those hills (and trust me, Vilnius has more hills than you’d expect).
I mean, with an 8.9 rating, other people clearly feel the same way I do about this place. It’s not trying to be something it’s not – just a comfortable, friendly base for exploring one of Europe’s most underrated capitals. The front desk folks actually know the city and can point you toward the good local restaurants instead of just handing you a generic tourist map. And parking? Well, you’re in Old Town, so good luck with that – but honestly, you won’t need a car here anyway.

Amazing location, very close to the old town. The apartment was very spacious and clean, the kitchen fully equipped. You can park your car in the courtyard, which is behind closed gates.
Be from Italy (8/10)
Large apartment, with two bedrooms and well-stocked kitchen, approximately 500 meters from the train station. Also very comfortable for reaching the old city on foot.
Affordable price compared to the Vilnius average.
The rating should be 7, I give 8 to encourage improvements.
