The building itself has that solid Soviet-era construction feel (I mean that in a good way – thick walls, minimal noise), and honestly, the 3-star rating feels a bit modest. The rooms are clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything works properly, which… well, anyone who’s traveled in Eastern Europe knows that’s not always a given.

What really struck me was how the staff actually seemed to care about helping you figure out the city. The woman at reception – I think her name was Rasa – gave me these incredibly detailed directions to this tiny bakery near Užupis that I never would have found otherwise. She also warned me that the trams get packed during rush hour and suggested I walk through Bernardinai Garden instead of taking the main road to the old town. These are the kinds of insider tips you just don’t get from those big chain hotels. The breakfast situation is pretty straightforward – nothing elaborate, but decent coffee and fresh bread, plus they had these little Lithuanian pastries that I kept going back for. The whole vibe is just… relaxed, I guess? You’re not going to find a spa or a rooftop bar, but you will find a place where you can actually get a good night’s sleep and wake up feeling ready to explore. And did I mention the parking? Because seriously, in a city where hotel parking can cost €20 a night, having it included is basically like getting money back in your pocket.

  Beautiful new apartment, very clean. The host was very responsive.
  
  What could be improved: We managed to find a parking lot next to the apartment, but this may be tricky if you arrive after working hours. Although the ambient temperature was quite moderate, the apartment was very hot (with the heating off)
