I stayed during one of those unpredictable Baltic spring weeks when the weather couldn’t make up its mind, and the heating actually worked properly – which, trust me, isn’t always a given in this part of the world.

What really sold me on the place was the neighborhood vibe. You’re within easy walking distance of Old Town – maybe 10 minutes if you’re not rushing – but you’re also right in the middle of where actual Vilnius residents live and work. There’s a small market nearby where you can grab snacks or basic supplies, and honestly, just wandering around the surrounding streets gives you a much better feel for the city than staying right in the tourist center would. The area gets busy during weekday mornings when people are heading to work, but evenings are pretty peaceful. I did notice some street noise early in the morning (garbage trucks, delivery vehicles – you know, city life), but nothing that kept me awake. If you’re planning to visit during summer, I’d definitely book early because places like this – good value, decent location, local feel – tend to fill up quickly once word gets around. It’s not going to be the highlight of your trip or anything, but it’s exactly what you want from a solid mid-range place: comfortable, well-located, and run by people who actually care about giving you a good base for exploring this really underrated city.

  The location is wonderful, not far from the city centre and bus/railway station. The room was big. The host was friendly and took us after 8 p.m.
