Vidos apartamentai 2 Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address for Vidos apartamentai 2 on Tilto Street, I thought “great, another cramped Old Town apartment with paper-thin walls.” But walking into this place completely changed my perspective on what a 4-star stay in Vilnius could actually feel like. The building itself has that classic Lithuanian charm you’d expect in the historic center, but once you’re inside, it’s clear someone put real thought into making this feel like a proper home base rather than just another tourist crash pad.
What really strikes me about this place is how they’ve managed to nail that sweet spot between being right in the thick of things without the chaos that usually comes with Old Town locations. You’re literally steps from Cathedral Square – I mean, you can practically hear the bells from St. Stanislaus Cathedral on quiet mornings – but somehow the apartment stays surprisingly peaceful. I think it’s because Tilto Street doesn’t get the heavy foot traffic that some of the main tourist drags do, you know? The morning routine here is perfect: grab coffee from one of those tiny local cafés (there’s this gem called Caffeine that locals actually go to, not just tourists), then wander through the cobblestone streets before the tour groups arrive around 10 AM.
The apartment itself honestly exceeded my expectations in ways that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The kitchen is properly equipped – not just the bare minimum you usually get – and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re stepping on each other’s toes. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details: good water pressure in the shower, blackout curtains that actually block light (crucial during those long summer days), and windows that seal well enough to keep street noise to a minimum. The 9.8 rating makes total sense once you experience how smoothly everything runs – check-in was seamless, and when I had a quick question about parking (which, let me tell you, is always an adventure in Old Town), they sorted it out immediately.
Here’s what you should know if you’re considering staying here: this isn’t your typical hotel experience, and that’s exactly why it works so well. You get the independence of having your own space while being positioned perfectly to explore everything Vilnius has to offer on foot. The Neris River is just a quick walk away if you want to escape the medieval streets for a bit, and you’re close enough to Gediminas Tower that you can hike up there for sunset without it being a whole production. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because leaving felt premature – not something I do lightly when traveling. It’s that rare find where the location, comfort, and overall experience just click together naturally.
To book hotel in Vilnius during the famous Vilnius Festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts baroque architecture enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

The apparent was right in the city centre; yet it was reasonably quiet. It was fully equipped. The free on-site parking was a bonus.
