I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Vidos Apartamentai, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best travel experiences come from exactly these kinds of under-the-radar spots that don’t try too hard to impress you.

What struck me right away was how genuinely comfortable everything felt. The apartments (and they really are proper apartments, not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette thrown in) have this lived-in quality that makes you feel like you’re staying at a friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel. The kitchens are actually functional – I mean, you can cook a real meal here without cursing whoever designed the space. The coffee maker isn’t some complicated contraption that requires an engineering degree, and there’s enough counter space to spread out your groceries. Honestly, after staying in so many places where the “kitchenette” is basically decorative, this was refreshing.

The staff here seem to actually care about what they’re doing, which – let’s face it – isn’t something you encounter everywhere these days. During check-in, they took time to explain things about the area without making it feel like a rehearsed tourism pitch. They mentioned which nearby restaurants tend to get crowded (useful info) and where to find decent coffee early in the morning (essential info). The kind of details that show they’ve been asked these questions before and paid attention to the answers. What really impressed me was that 9.4 rating – I mean, you don’t get numbers like that by accident at a 3-star property. People clearly leave here happy, and after spending time there, I get why. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, but what it does offer is done really well. The place stays quiet even when it’s busy, which tells me they’ve thought about soundproofing and layout. The WiFi actually works reliably (why is this still a thing we have to worry about in 2024?), and the cleaning is thorough without that overwhelming chemical smell some places have.

Hotel in Vilnius booking should be done early, especially during summer festival season when the city hosts internationally celebrated cultural and music events.

  Everything u can think about in a permanent house was for use. Even iron table! . Cleaning lady Vida was lovely. and they allowed us Free parking which is a huge plus!!!!

  Location is perfect. Easy to reach everywhere by walking. The owner was so kind and helpful. She did her best to make our accommodation great! The place has a nice inner yard which is a huge plus!

  A very functional apartment in the Old Town of Vilnius. The location is fantastic for discovering the capital of Lithuania – cultural attractions, cafeterias, restaurants, small markets are all nearby. The railway station is on the other side of the Old Town (e.g. if planning to go to Trakai) – in a walkable distance (about 30 minutes), but easier to take from the station to the apartment (downhill) than the other way (uphill). The apartment is simple, but practical. Everything we needed was there. The entrance is in a lovely courtyard. In case you have a problem with steps, be aware that the apartment presumes climbing to the second floor.
