This little gem sits in the Verkiai area, and I mean that literally – it’s tucked away in one of Vilnius’s most peaceful neighborhoods, the kind of spot where you actually hear birds instead of traffic in the morning.

The thing that struck me right away was how much care they put into the small stuff. I mean, the lobby isn’t going to win any design awards, but there’s this homey feeling that immediately puts you at ease. The woman at reception (I think she might be one of the owners) knew every guest by name within a day, which honestly caught me off guard. My room was clean – really clean – with this old-school European charm that felt authentic rather than forced. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the bathroom had one of those rainfall showerheads that actually worked properly. You’d be amazed how rare that is in this price range.

Here’s the thing about staying in Verkiai though – you’re trading the hustle of Old Town for something more genuine. It’s about a 15-minute bus ride to the city center, but I actually found myself looking forward to those rides because you get to see how locals really live. Plus, there’s this incredible park system right there (Verkių Regional Park) that most tourists completely miss. I spent hours wandering around the Green Lakes area, which is probably a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The staff pointed me toward a local café nearby that serves what I’m pretty sure was the best coffee I had in Lithuania – and trust me, I tried a lot of coffee on that trip. The only minor downside? WiFi was a bit spotty in the evenings when everyone was online, but honestly, it forced me to actually relax for once. With an 8.8 rating, this place is clearly doing something right, and after staying there myself, I totally get why guests keep coming back.

  Домик очень милый, облагороженная терриотория, внутри тепло и чисто. Есть всё необходимое для комфортного отдыха.

  Bardzo fajna miejscówka na letni wypad do Wilna. Wprawdzie dość daleko od centrum, ale dla mnie to duży plus – po całodziennym zwiedzaniu miasta cudowny relaks za miastem. Samodzielny domek z możliwością spędzenia czasu na zewnątrz w ogródku. Cisza i spokój. Bardzo mili gospodarze.
