Well, it’s definitely hidden – took me twenty minutes to figure out which buzzer actually worked on the third floor, and honestly, that was probably the highlight of my stay.

The Žirmūnai district itself isn’t terrible – you’re actually pretty close to the Green Bridge if you want to walk into Old Town, though it’s a solid 25-minute trek. There’s a Maxima grocery store nearby which saved me more than once, and the bus connections aren’t awful if you know the system. But here’s the thing about this particular apartment – it feels like someone watched a few YouTube videos about Airbnb hosting and called it a day. The wifi kept cutting out (which, you know, is basically a death sentence when you’re trying to work), and I swear the shower had exactly two temperature settings: arctic blast or surface-of-the-sun. No middle ground whatsoever.

What really got me was the attention to detail, or lack thereof. The sheets were clean enough, I’ll give them that, but everything felt sort of… temporary? Like furniture that was bought in bulk and scattered around without much thought. The kitchen had the basics – a kettle that took forever to boil, a fridge that hummed loud enough to wake the dead, and exactly three mismatched plates. You could make it work for a night or two, but honestly, I’ve had better experiences in hostels that cost half the price. The building itself is typical Soviet-era construction, so expect thin walls and the delightful sounds of your neighbors’ morning routines. Plus, parking on Pulko can be a nightmare during weekdays – learned that one the hard way when I came back to find my rental car blocked in by someone’s ancient Volkswagen. If you’re dead set on staying in this area of Vilnius, I’d honestly suggest looking around a bit more. The location isn’t bad for exploring different parts of the city, and you’re not far from some decent Lithuanian restaurants, but this particular spot feels like it’s coasting on the “apartment” appeal without delivering much substance behind it.
