You’re right in the thick of the old town (which explains the name, obviously), and I’m talking about the kind of narrow cobblestone streets where you can hear church bells in the morning and smell fresh bread from the bakery downstairs – assuming there is one, which there usually is in these old European quarters. The building itself has that slightly creaky charm that comes with actual history, not the manufactured kind. My room had these original wooden beams that you could tell had been there for probably a century or more, and the windows – well, they’re the old-style ones that actually open wide, which is amazing when you want fresh air but can be a bit drafty if you’re there in shoulder season. The apartment setup means you get a proper living space, not just a hotel room, so you can actually spread out your stuff and live like a normal human being for a few days.

What impressed me most was how they managed to blend modern comfort with all that old-world character. The bathroom was completely updated (thank goodness), the wifi actually worked throughout the space, and the kitchen had everything you’d need if you wanted to grab groceries from the local market instead of eating out every meal. Speaking of which – and this is the kind of insider thing you only figure out after staying in old town areas – grocery runs are way easier in the morning before all the day-trippers arrive and clog up the narrow streets. The whole area gets pretty buzzy during peak tourist hours, but early mornings and evenings? It’s like having this historic neighborhood mostly to yourself. That 9.6 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where everything just works, the host clearly knows what they’re doing, and you end up extending your stay if you can swing it. I actually found myself using the living room space way more than I expected, just sitting with coffee in the morning watching the old town wake up through those big windows.

  Pazzesca, tutto molto bello e curato. Biancheria di buonissima qualità e in abbondanza. Prodotti da bagno al top. Curato nei minimi dettagli: profumatori d’ambiente ovunque e molto gradevoli. Divano, poltrone e letti comodissimi. A piedi si arriva facilmente al centro di Vilnius e vicino c’è il mercato che merita una visita. Noi abbiamo soggiornato in cinque per un paio di notti tutto molto piacevole. La casa comunque luminosa anche se la luce del giorno può filtrare solo da tre piccole finestre. Comodissimo il posteggio all’interno del cortile.
