What really got me was stepping outside in the morning. There’s this little bakery around the corner that opens at 6 AM, and honestly, the smell of fresh bread drifting through the medieval streets is something you just can’t get in a modern hotel district. The owner – super friendly guy who clearly takes pride in this place – mentioned that a lot of his guests end up extending their stays because they fall in love with the neighborhood. I can see why. You’re close enough to walk to Gediminas Tower or the Gates of Dawn without breaking a sweat, but far enough from Pilies Street that you’re not dealing with tour groups marching past your window all day. The apartment itself feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in typical tourist accommodation. Sure, it’s a 3-star rating, but that 9.5 guest score tells the real story – sometimes character and location beat fancy amenities every single time. Just a heads up though, parking can be tricky in Old Town (it always is), but there’s a decent spot about a five-minute walk away if you’re driving.

  What could be improved: The stairs up from the courtyard are a little intimidating – dark and steep.
  
  Maybe most guests speak and read Lithuanian, but for those of us who don't, a translation on the oven instructions would be helpful; ditto the TV. And a note – with a legible WiFi password – for those who have difficulty reading what's on the modem.

  What could be improved: The host was unresponsive, we had a few issues and massaged the host, but they never replied to us. We were there for 4 days, and they barely responded once and then they just ignored. We had no soap when we arrived. Asked for extra towels if possible as the shower had no curtains and the water got everywhere in the toilet and the floor, making hard to use the toilet after shower as it is a very small bathroom. We didn’t know how to connect to WiFi, no instructions were shared, we had to go find the router and look for ways to figure to connect to WiFi. Also, on the second day we lost and kept losing electricity over and over, and contacted the host, never heard back good thing we looked for the circuit breaker and found it, otherwise we would be without power for 3 days.

  Die Lage ist einmalig und die Wohnung ein Juwel. Tolles Bad und sehr stylisches Wohn/Esszimmer.

  What could be improved: Am Fußende des Bettes war sehr wenig Platz um daran vorbeizukommen, aber am meisten gestört hat, dass es bei der guten technischen Ausstattung (Spül-und Waschmaschine) keine (!) Möglichkeit gab einen simplen Kaffee – wenn schon nur mit einem Filter – aufzuschütten.
