Town Hall Square Apartments Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Town Hall Square Apartments on Latako street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like just another converted building in Vilnius Old Town. But you know what? Sometimes the most unassuming places end up surprising you, and this little gem absolutely did.
The location is actually pretty brilliant once you get your bearings. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Town Hall Square (hence the name), but tucked away on this quiet cobblestone side street where you won’t hear the late-night revelers stumbling back from Užupis. The building itself has that classic Old Town charm – thick walls that keep things cool in summer, though fair warning, some of the apartment layouts can feel a bit… well, creatively configured. That’s what happens when you’re working with centuries-old architecture, right? My unit had this quirky little nook by the window that became my morning coffee spot – honestly one of my favorite parts of staying there.
What really won me over was how the staff actually seemed to care about helping you experience Vilnius properly. The woman at check-in (I think her name was Rasa?) spent a good ten minutes marking up my map with spots that weren’t in any guidebook – like this tiny bakery on Pilies street where locals grab their morning pastries, and the best viewpoint on Gediminas Hill that tourists somehow always miss. The apartments themselves are clean and functional, nothing fancy but everything works. The kitchen setup is perfect if you want to grab some fresh produce from the Hales market and cook something up – which I definitely recommend doing at least once. The wifi is solid (important for those of us who can’t completely disconnect), and honestly, the beds are way more comfortable than you’d expect from a three-star place.
Here’s the thing though – parking can be a bit of a headache if you’re driving. The Old Town streets weren’t exactly designed with rental cars in mind, but there’s a paid lot about a five-minute walk away on Gedimino avenue. Also, if you’re someone who needs everything to be perfectly polished and hotel-like, this might not be your vibe. It’s more like staying in a friend’s apartment – which for me was exactly what I wanted. You get that authentic feeling of actually living in Vilnius for a few days rather than just passing through as a tourist. Plus, being right in the heart of everything means you can walk to the cathedral, explore the narrow medieval streets, or pop over to that incredible restaurant scene around Vokiečių street without ever needing transportation. For the price point and that 8-rating it’s earned, Town Hall Square Apartments delivers exactly what it promises – a comfortable, well-located base for exploring one of Europe’s most underrated capitals.

Reviews of Town Hall Square Apartments
Best location, combing the privacy of a small street with very close proximity to Vilnius's centre. – Oktawian from Poland – August 8, 2025 (9/10)
Unbeatable location in the Old Town of Vilnius, just a few steps from the main turist promande in Vilnius and yet the apartment is located in a quiet street, combining privacy and the proximity to the heart of this beautiful city.
Wonderful – Balodis from Latvia – July 17, 2025 (9/10)
We stayed 2 nights (on workdays), family with two kids.
Excelent location – middle of old town and quiet at night.
The apartment was very good. Would return again.

Brilliant location, very spacious apartment, well equipped and clean. Really good value. Host provided clear instructions and photos of how to access apartment so that was easy despite arriving very late at night.
What could be improved: Only negative was the pillow was not to my comfort. I would suggest 2 pillows different types so people have a choice to match their preference, only reason it’s a 9 and not a 10/10 😊Recommend this place! – Vasilika from Luxembourg – July 16, 2023 (8/10)
Nice design! Clean and close to the center.
What could be improved: A bit small toilet)Mixed feelings – Igar from Belarus – June 3, 2023 (8/10)
The location is perfect, in the very heart of the old town. The apartment is calm, spacious and clean. There is a free parking in the inner yard. The kitchen is quite well equipped for those who wants to cook their meals.
What could be improved: It was not easy to find the entrance hall for the apartment. There are many doors in the inner yard, you have to check many of them before you find the one you need.
The description does not specify that the parking space is not guaranteed. We were lucky to get the last free spot. Besides, you risk being blocked by someone else's car, which is a bit scary when you have to drive at the airport at early morning hours.
The apartment is full with warnings and threats. "Don't do this, don't do that, or you'll be fined 50 euros and more!" The occasional problems of the host with some guests should not result in these offensive messages.
The water pressure in the shower is really weak. It is so weak that you cannot wash some parts of the body if you turn the shower head up. Also, the water temperature is unstable, going from scalding hot to freezing cold.we would stay here again! – Marilyn from United Kingdom – October 27, 2022 (9/10)
proximity to the old town
What could be improved: one toilet paper is provided – not enoughWonderful – Boris from Canada – October 11, 2022 (9/10)
Good apartment is at the very old city. Comfortable and cozy
