The house Vilnius Overview
You know what hit me first about The house Vilnius? It’s actually tucked into this tiny cobblestone street called Latako gatve that most tourists walk right past – which honestly is part of its charm. I mean, you’re literally in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, but it feels like you’ve discovered some secret locals-only spot. The building itself has this understated elegance that’s very Lithuanian – no flashy signage or over-the-top entrance, just a beautifully restored townhouse that blends seamlessly with the medieval architecture around it.
What really sets this place apart is how they’ve managed to feel boutique without trying too hard, if that makes sense. The rooms have this perfect mix of contemporary comfort and historical character – think exposed wooden beams and original stone walls, but with modern bathrooms that actually have decent water pressure (trust me, this matters after a long day wandering those cobblestones). The staff genuinely seem to care about giving you insider tips too. They pointed me toward this little bakery on Pilies Street that I never would’ve found otherwise, and suggested the best times to visit Cathedral Square when it’s not swarming with tour groups.
Location-wise, you’re about a three-minute walk from all the main sights – Town Hall Square, the Gates of Dawn, St. Anne’s Church – but here’s the thing: you can actually get some sleep at night because Latako is just removed enough from the main tourist drag. I stayed during summer when Old Town can get pretty lively (especially on weekends), and honestly had no noise issues. Parking’s a bit of a puzzle like everywhere in the old city, but they’ll sort you out with directions to nearby options. The 8.1 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be a five-star palace, but what it does, it does really well. If you want that authentic Vilnius experience without staying in some generic chain hotel, this is your spot. Plus, there’s something satisfying about staying somewhere that doesn’t need a star rating to prove its worth – it just quietly delivers exactly what you’re hoping for.

Room was cosy, clean had everything what I needed. Good for 1-2 nights stay
What could be improved: Could feel outdoor smell in the room. Also because of heat wanted to open the window but could hear neighbors making loads of nooses during late hours. So the sleep was very disturbed.Good – Villő from Hungary – July 8, 2025 (7/10)

Very good location.
Spacious room for four people, room was clean and there was a table.
Tea in the kitchen, two fridges, kettle.
Overall very good for short stay for the reasonable price.
What could be improved: There was no staff on the site, so if there was a problem, you don't have anyone to ask.
We could hear noises from shared bathroom in our room despite the fact that our room was not the closest one to the bathroom
WC was smelly.
Not enough utensils in the kitchen. There was no stove in the kitchen.Great value for money, clean and confortable, perfect location and easy to come in and out – Gabriel from South Africa – June 14, 2025 (8/10)
Great value for money, clean and well located. Rooms have what can be required: good bed, desk and pleasant view. Common areas are clean and confortable.

The location is perfect, near the old town and Uzhupis. The apartment was big and comfortable. Facilities was shared, but it was okay
Cozy stay with a cheeky shower surprise—book early! – Dmitry from United States – June 4, 2025 (9/10)
Great location with clean and comfortable rooms. The staff were very friendly, and the hosts were welcoming and flexible. We’ll definitely try to stay here again on our next visit to Vilnius—though it’s a popular place, so booking in advance is probably necessary!
What could be improved: The shower 🚿has a single temperature control lever placed in such a sensitive spot that even a slight shift or accidental bump—say, with a cheek, or depending on your height—can swing it 💦 from spa-like warmth to an Arctic splash 🥶… or a surprise geyser 🌋. It’s like playing temperature roulette in the shower! 😂in the heart of the old town – Ute from New Zealand – May 14, 2025 (9/10)
the location is unbeatable,
