I stumbled across Studio Chic during one of those late-night booking sessions when everything else in Vilnius was either booked solid or way over budget, and honestly? Best accidental find ever. The place sits right in Zverynas on Studentų street – you know, that quieter neighborhood across the river from Old Town that feels more like where actual people live rather than just tourists wandering around.

The thing about this spot is that it doesn’t try to be something it’s not. It’s a solid 3-star that punches above its weight, and you can tell from the moment you walk in that someone actually thought about how people use hotel rooms. The studios are genuinely chic (not just the name), with these clean lines and surprisingly good natural light – which matters more than you’d think when you’re dealing with those short Baltic winter days. I mean, the bathroom alone has better lighting than my apartment back home. The kitchenette situation is actually useful too, not one of those sad mini-fridges with a hot plate that nobody ever touches. You’ll find decent counter space and real dishes, which came in handy when I grabbed some of those incredible pastries from the bakery down the street.

What really sold me on the place was how it sits in Zverynas – it’s like this green island in the middle of the city where you can actually hear birds instead of traffic. You’re maybe a 15-minute walk to Cathedral Square, but it feels like you’re staying in a completely different world. The Neris River is right there, and I actually ended up jogging along the riverbank most mornings (something I never do at home, but the setting just pulls you outside). Parking was surprisingly painless too – there’s street parking that doesn’t require a degree in Lithuanian municipal law to figure out, unlike some parts of the city center where I’ve seen tourists circling for an hour looking increasingly desperate. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel with actual grocery stores and cafes that aren’t trying to separate tourists from their euros, which is refreshing when you’ve been dealing with Old Town prices all day. Check-in was smooth – no waiting around in some cramped lobby, just efficient and friendly service that got me to my room without any of that forced hotel cheerfulness that makes you suspicious about what they’re hiding.
