Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of apartment rentals across Europe, but #stayhere – Spacious Luxury Town Hall 3BDR Apartment really surprised me in the best way possible. When I first walked up to 1 Vokiečių gatvė – and yes, you’ll want to screenshot that address because it’s a mouthful – I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from the quirky hashtag name. But stepping inside, you immediately get why they’re confident enough to brand it that way.

The space itself is genuinely spacious, which is sort of rare in Old Town Vilnius where most places feel like they were carved out of medieval closets. Three proper bedrooms mean you’re not playing Tetris with luggage, and the main living area actually lets you spread out without bumping into furniture every five minutes. What really got me though was how they’ve managed to keep the character of the building – you know, those thick walls and tall windows that make you feel like you’re living in a fairy tale – while still making everything feel modern and comfortable. The kitchen is fully kitted out too, which I appreciated since eating out for every meal in the Old Town can get pricey fast.

Here’s what nobody tells you about staying right in the heart of Vilnius Old Town: mornings are magical, but weekend evenings can get a bit lively with all the bars nearby. I mean, you’re literally steps from Town Hall Square, so there’s going to be some energy around. The trade-off is absolutely worth it though – you can stumble out the front door and be at Pilies gatvė in two minutes, or wander over to Cathedral Square without even thinking about it. Plus, and this is key if you’re traveling with a group, having three bedrooms in this location is actually pretty rare. Most places this central are tiny studios or awkward two-rooms where someone’s sleeping on a pull-out couch.

The building itself has that solid, old-world feel – thick walls mean you’re not hearing every conversation from neighboring apartments, which is honestly a blessing. Check-in was straightforward, though like most rental situations, you’ll want to coordinate your arrival time ahead of time. Parking isn’t included (because, well, medieval city center), but there are options nearby if you’re driving. I walked everywhere anyway – that’s the whole point of staying here.

I’d say this place hits that sweet spot between having enough room to actually relax and being right in the thick of everything that makes Vilnius special. The 7.9 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but it delivers exactly what it promises: space, location, and a place that feels more like a home base than a hotel room. If you’re traveling with family or friends and want to experience Old Town without feeling cramped, it’s definitely worth considering.

  apartment looks as pictured, location is perfect, everything went smoothly with check-in and check-out – overall we were happy 🙂
  
  What could be improved: definitely needs maintenance – half the lights aren’t working, the dishwasher is falling apart, the seat covers are stained, … judging by the other comments this has been the case for months and the managers don’t seem to care. Also, it would be nice if the ad were more explicit about the fact that the apartment is on the 5th floor with no elevator, and that two of the bedrooms don’t have doors.

  Location is the best in Vilnius. Staff were very very friendly and easy to reach. Views from windows are unique and amazing!
  
  What could be improved: Shower could be cleaner. The rails upstairs are only metal, there is a huge empty space where children could fall through. This could be mentioned in the description, as it is not suitable for young children.

  Location was excellent, photos did accurately show all rooms. Furnishings were modern and well maintained. A/C worked well (we were there in July). Instructions on how to get to the apt that were emailed the day before rental were detailed and easy to follow.
  
  What could be improved: Description neglected to mention that there are 4 1/2 flights of stairs to the apartment – a total of 89 stairs. Would have been nice to have a microwave. Blinds in two bedrooms did not work, so summer sun could not be blocked out when sleeping. No doors to two upper bedrooms, which was good for air circulation, but not good for privacy when changing clothes or sleeping.

  Didn’t get all the information from the hosts in advance, had to chase for details on parking, where to take rubbish. There should be an information guide in the apartment.
