I’ll be honest – when I first saw #stayhere – Modern & Central 2 Bedroom Apartment tucked away on Šopeno gatvė, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place with such a millennial hashtag name. But you know what? This spot actually gets it right. The location is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of Old Town without dealing with the tourist chaos on Pilies Street. Šopeno is one of those quieter cobblestone streets where you can still hear church bells in the morning instead of just tour groups – though fair warning, those cobblestones are brutal if you’re hauling heavy luggage.

The apartment itself feels like someone actually thought about how people live, not just how they sleep for one night. The two bedrooms are properly sized (I mean, you won’t be bumping elbows), and the modern touches work well against the old building character. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup – it’s got everything you need if you want to grab some fresh stuff from the Hales Market and cook at home, which honestly makes sense when you’re staying more than a couple nights. The whole place has this clean, unfussy vibe that photographs well but doesn’t feel sterile to actually live in. There’s decent natural light too, which matters more than you’d think during those short Baltic winter days.

Here’s what nobody tells you about staying in Old Town though – parking is going to be your nemesis. The apartment doesn’t come with a spot, so you’ll either need to hunt for street parking (good luck) or use one of the paid lots nearby. But here’s the thing – once you’re settled, you honestly won’t need a car much. Cathedral Square is literally a five-minute walk, Gediminas Tower is right there when you want that classic Vilnius view, and you’re close enough to Užupis that you can wander over for dinner without planning your whole evening around it. The 8-rating makes sense to me – it’s solidly good without being fancy, and the four-star feel comes through in the details like decent water pressure and reliable WiFi. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was traveling with someone else and wanted space to spread out a bit.

    New and modern, the fact that the apartment has 2 separate bedrooms, which can be rare! beds were super comfy as well!

    Excellent location, comfortable apartment, most facilities provided, including electric hob and oven, fridge, electric kettle, ironing board with iron, hot water and central heating. Bedrooms good, modern furnishings.

    What could be improved: Initial hitch with the key instructions, causing some anxiety pre-departure. Then the wi-fi link was unavailable and another link was provided after several phone calls. This link was weak and inadequate. The flat seemed as though no one had used it in some time. The bathroom sink was clogged. The floors could have done with more cleaning. The bedspreads were covered with fluff There should have been a list of instructions for the management of amenities, including electric cooker, kept as a handbook in the flat itself.

    The location is good, close to old town and main bus and train stations.

    What could be improved: The apartment was not cleaned – the cushion on the sofa was in the same position as the previous guest sat on it and left, the rug was not vaccumed in weeks, plastic rubbish was clearly visible, I had doubt the bed sheets were changed as I could smell human odour on the pillow cases. The owner was informed straight away as they asked for a chance to correct in case something was wrong. The only response was they will pass the message to the cleaners but nothing about coming and cleaning it. I stayed there for 10 days and never ever owner messaged me or send cleaners that's why this post is here. Shame as its cosy nice apartment with all amenities. The instructions sent about WiFi and rubbish containers were incorrect and owner was not even aware of it.

    What could be improved: Was a bit of a challenge going up the first set of stairs only to be greeted by a second set once inside community area .
    The stair case to bedrooms looks good but a bit scary go up and not good at nite to come down to use bathrooms .

    The instructions for getting into the apartment were excellent even in the dark. We enjoyed the location which made accessing the city and yet close to transport links. The apartment was clean and in a modern, minimalist style . The beds were comfortable.

    What could be improved: There was only one small sofa despite booking for 3 people. The floating stairs were steep and yet had no handrail which felt dangerous especially at night. The bathroom needed minor maintenance.
