#stayhere – Historic Vilnius Old Town Chic Studio Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first saw #stayhere – Historic Vilnius Old Town Chic Studio tucked away on Bernardinų gatvė, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a place with a hashtag for a name. But you know what? Sometimes the most interesting finds are the ones that catch you off guard. This little studio sits right in the heart of Vilnius Old Town, literally a two-minute walk from the Bernardine Gardens (which, by the way, are absolutely gorgeous in spring when the cherry trees bloom).
The space itself is what I’d call “Instagram meets history” – and I mean that in the best way possible. They’ve managed to blend sleek, modern design with those thick stone walls and original wooden beams that remind you you’re staying in a building that’s probably older than your entire hometown. The studio is compact but clever – everything has its place, and honestly, after spending days wandering cobblestone streets, you’ll appreciate how thoughtfully laid out it is. The bed is surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s this great little kitchenette area where you can actually make a decent breakfast. I loved having morning coffee while looking out at the medieval architecture – it beats a hotel breakfast room any day.
What really sets this place apart is the location, and I don’t just mean “convenient to attractions” – I mean you’re living like a local in one of Europe’s most charming old towns. You’re literally around the corner from some of the best traditional Lithuanian restaurants (try Lokys if you’re feeling adventurous), and the Cathedral Square is maybe a five-minute stroll. But here’s the thing locals know – Bernardinų street is just quiet enough that you won’t be dealing with the tourist crowds that flood Pilies Street, yet you’re close enough to walk to everything. The only minor downside? Those charming cobblestones can be a bit tricky with wheeled luggage, but honestly, it’s a small price to pay for staying somewhere this atmospheric. With an 8.7 rating, you can tell other travelers have figured out what makes this place special too – it’s that rare find where modern comfort meets authentic Old World charm without trying too hard to impress.

Exceptional – Petra from Slovakia – September 16, 2024 (10/10)
Good location, very comfortable bed, plus dishwasher & washing machine in.
What could be improved: None, all good.Very Good – Exler from United States – September 12, 2024 (8/10)
Location was great!
Cute place. Small but we'll equipped.
Very close to a major pedestrian street with restaurants, shops, etc.
Close to Cathedral square, museums, Castle, Uzupis, etc.
We walked all over for everything.
Nice little patio w/table and chairs in the shade outside.
Good instructions to find and get into the apartment.
It's in a corner of a large courtyard with many other units. And some tour groups would come in and look around??
What could be improved: Did not like the management – housesy.
Problems with coffee – both lack of a press and pods for Nespresso. Several messages back and forth over days – some misleading, others just wrong.
We rent units with kitchenettes just to make coffee and breakfast in the morning. Ended up at Caffeine many times- not what we expected or wanted. Had 1/2 of a French press and a Nespresso machine without access to more pods unless we took a 4km trip to the mall.
Perhaps change management? Or machines.
Unit has 1 window. Other than that, it's a cave. Window shut, it gets warm and stuffy. Window open, gets noisy and buggy. Leave both front doors open will cool it more, but adds way more bugs. Win/lose.
Studio is on a mostly pedestrian shortcut. Heavy walking traffic – lots of noise until very, very late. Same window problem at night.Excellent place to stay on weekend – Vytautas from Lithuania – May 19, 2024 (10/10)

Great quality/value and location – Raphtbm from France – April 16, 2024 (10/10)
Great quality/value. Fast wifi, hot water, kitchen. Perfect location. Quiet area. Cosy vibe, nice light setup. Perfect communication. If you are in some bicycle trip, it can be quite convenient (ground floor + space).
MERAVIGLIOSO – Davide from Italy – March 26, 2024 (10/10)
Incredible location in the full centre of old town.
Close apartament you have all you can need.
Apartament inside is really great, particular, old, modern style, really fantastic, rare beautyness.
What could be improved: Oven or microwave, they would be useful (and a little bit more lights)Exceptional – Siarhei from Netherlands – March 7, 2024 (10/10)
Super stylish appartment close to the heart of the city!
Exceptional – Inga from United Kingdom – February 7, 2024 (10/10)
Lovely place to stay, perfect location and well equipped
Wonderful – Sintija from Latvia – July 6, 2023 (9/10)
Wonderful apartment! Sexy shower cubicle. All rooms is an interior designer's, writer's dream and a photographer's too. There was coffee, sugar, washing powder and dishwasher tablets, which was also great.
What could be improved: It would be brilliant if the hosts left just a little oil, salt and pepper in the kitchen area for cooking.Cool place, great location, good value. – Mary from United States – April 24, 2023 (10/10)
Location couldn’t have been better, right in old town (very near the cathedral), bus/train station within walking distance, easy for day trips. The apartment itself is very cool, we enjoyed our stay very much.
What could be improved: Because it’s right in old town with its many alleyways and side streets, took us a few minutes to find it not being familiar with the location when first arrived, but otherwise all good.
