Spectacular river view apartment Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first booked the Spectacular river view apartment – you know how these Airbnb-style places can be hit or miss. But walking up Žygimantų street in Vilnius Old Town, I actually got a little excited. The cobblestones here aren’t the touristy kind that hurt your feet, and there’s this quiet energy that feels authentically Lithuanian rather than performed for visitors.
The apartment itself lives up to its name, though I’d say the view is more “consistently lovely” than spectacular – but honestly, that works better for me. You wake up to the Neris River doing its thing below, and there’s something really grounding about watching the morning joggers and dog walkers start their day while you’re still in pajamas with coffee. The space feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental, which can be either charming or slightly awkward depending on your personality. I mean, there are family photos on some shelves, but the kitchen is fully stocked with good knives and decent coffee equipment, so I’ll take that trade-off. The Wi-Fi actually works consistently – crucial if you’re trying to figure out which of Vilnius’s medieval churches you want to tackle that day.
Location-wise, you’re right in the thick of Old Town but on a quieter street that doesn’t get the late-night bar crowds. I could walk to Pilies Street in about three minutes, but I wasn’t dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past my windows at 2am. The building itself is old – like, properly old – so you’ll hear your upstairs neighbors occasionally, but it’s more “charming creaky floors” than “paper-thin walls.” Parking is… well, it’s Old Town Vilnius, so good luck with that. I ended up using the lot near the cathedral and just walking, which honestly worked out better anyway since you discover things like that tiny amber shop on Aušros Vartų that I never would have found otherwise. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that complicated lockbox hunting that makes you feel like you’re on a scavenger hunt after a long flight. The 8.9 rating feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind, but everything works, it’s clean, and the location really can’t be beaten if you want to feel like you’re living in Vilnius rather than just visiting it.
Hotels in Vilnius offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this Baltic gem, with easy access to museums, galleries, and historic landmarks.

Reviews of Spectacular river view apartment
Excellent! – Leen from Belgium – June 30, 2025 (9/10)
Loved the view and location! Very easy and fluent communication. Lots of space to put your stuff, clothes and lugguage. Well equiped kitchen! Very cosy decoration. It's a quiet busy street, so I needed to close the windows at night. The windows are very well isolated for the noise from outside! Cosy bed & possibility to connect with your own netflix thanks to the smart tv. Super convenient location with a direct bus to the airport and super close to the city center and in the meantime next to the river. Best of both worlds!
What could be improved: Only real small detail that I knew though from other reviews: strong smell in the bathroom, but honestly the owner is doing everything they can to make that less. I left the windows open in daytime and nighttime of the airport and the door from the bathroom, and I was not really disturbing to me. I knew this beforehand, and appreciate the efforts made to prevent this. All the positive points are really worth this little detail. Would definitely stay again!River views and cost rooms – Lisa from United Kingdom – May 23, 2025 (10/10)
Lovely apartment. Even better than the pictures. Modern renovation retaining a feel of the old rooms. Fantastic view of the river. Wonderful if you enjoy a long run by water away from traffic. Helpful and responsive host. Strongly recommend (but see comment about stairs).
What could be improved: No dislikes. But beware if you have heavy luggage as is 3rd floor and no lift. Better fot strolling picallo players than those packing a full Welsh harp.Wonderful – Kamile from United Kingdom – May 16, 2025 (9/10)
Beautiful apartment and a great way to experience local life in Vilnius as you're close to all the transport links, shops and there's events going on almost daily. The view is gorgeous and you can enjoy it from the balcony in the morning sun which was brilliant. The hosts were also very nice and attentive.
Perfect stay – Slávka from Slovakia – April 27, 2025 (10/10)
I mean, where do I even start 😄 I fell in love with this apartment the moment I stepped in, its unique atmosphere made me want to move in permanently. The location is great, city centre right behind the corner, bus to the airport 5 mins away.
It is exceptionally clean and smells great, has amazing storage so you can unpack your stuff.
Overall, it was so comfy I was excited to go back every night after my Vilnius adventures. Will definitely book again next time.Very Good – Georgios from Greece – September 27, 2024 (8/10)
The first contact with the building is a bit distracting because it's an old building but we understand that it's not the host's fault but the management's of the building. Personally we found this old vibe charming but generally the residential building was quiet. The room seems very recently renovated, very clean and with all the amenities you may need (except the microwave maybe). The host was very helpful sending information about several events of the city.We enjoyed the view from the balcony and from the bedroom! We would definitely return again!
What could be improved: The only negative is that the room is on the 4th floor without elevator which can be quite a deal for people with reduced mobility or very tired travellers like us that before Vilnius have been travelling to many countries.A property was really good – Eugenia from Canada – August 23, 2024 (10/10)
Beautiful apartment, very clean, very well stocked. Extra touches like fresh produce to greet us were really appreciated, as was the prompt response to all our questions and inquiries
What could be improved: The instructions on how to use washing machine would help.Exceptional – David from United Kingdom – July 23, 2024 (10/10)
Lovely views from a cosy apartment
In the city centre with an amazing view! – Erika from Lithuania – June 19, 2024 (9/10)
I was amazed by the view! Also, the style of the apartment was very cosy. And amazing location and parking!
What could be improved: Just a few small things. Cleanliness could be a little bit better, there were some spots on the mirror and closet was a little messy.Nice stay in the city center. – Tommy from Sweden – August 21, 2025 (9/10)
Perfect location by the river. Busses to airport or Trainstation around the corner. Just download the Trafi app and they are easy to use. We used Uber as we had several bags with us.
Nice that we could stay some extra hours at departure day as our flight leaved at 17:55.
What could be improved: An elevator would have been nice as we had some bags to carry.Nice over night stopover – Martin from New Zealand – October 8, 2024 (8/10)
Tastefully decorated and very comfortable
What could be improved: Five flights of stairs with heavy suitcases
