Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Somnia Apartments, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries come when your expectations are just set at “decent and clean.” This place actually surprised me in all the right ways.

The apartment setup is what really won me over. I mean, sure, it’s not fancy, but there’s something refreshing about having your own little space instead of being crammed into a standard hotel box. The kitchenette was actually functional – and I’m talking real functional, not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. I ended up cooking breakfast most mornings (there’s a small market just around the corner that locals use, which honestly saved me a fortune). The living area flows nicely into the bedroom space, and the windows – well, they actually open properly, which you’d be amazed how many places get wrong. The air circulation was great, especially important since I visited during one of those unexpectedly warm weeks.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night. The building seems well-insulated, and even though there’s some street activity during the day, evenings are surprisingly peaceful. Check-in was straightforward – no fancy lobby or anything, but the staff knew their stuff and gave me actual useful tips about the area, not just generic tourist brochures. Parking was easier than I expected too, though I’d recommend asking about spots when you book because it can fill up during busy periods. The whole place has this lived-in feel that’s comfortable without being worn down, if that makes sense. Little touches like decent lighting in the bathroom and outlets in sensible places – you know, the stuff that actually matters when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night. I ended up extending my stay by two days, partly because I was enjoying the neighborhood, but honestly partly because the apartment just felt… well, like a place I could actually relax in rather than just crash at.

  Location was just down from the railway/bus stations, clear instructions to enter and clean and comfortable apartment on 4th floor (great lift). Entire property has been renovated to a high standard. Coffee shop down stairs (and another across street) and close to old town. Markets nearby also on weekend.
  
  Room was large (slanted ceiling) with good light. Plenty of space to hang or store clothes in drawers. Kitchenette (small dishwasher, stove and fridge) that was well stocked. I found the bed really comfortable. There was a TV on the wall. The bathroom was a nice size which had a small washing machine and quality fittings.

  I had a fantastic stay in Vilnius! The host was incredibly responsive, providing super quick answers to all my questions and clear, detailed instructions for accessing the property. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore the city. I especially appreciated the host's kindness in allowing me a late check-out, which gave me extra time to enjoy Vilnius without having to carry my luggage around before my flight. Overall, a seamless and pleasant experience – I highly recommend staying here!

  This quiet apartment is located very close to public transportation and the bus and train stations. The central market and grocery stories were close as well. It is a quick, easy walk to the Town Hall. The kitchen has a cooktop but no oven; I requested a microwave, which was kindly provided. I appreciated having a washing machine and a fan.

  Location is amazing, you can get everywhere by foot pretty quickly. It’s also only about 8mins away from the train station, which was a bonus for us.
  The apartment has all the facilities and amenities you need and is well equipped. Would highly recommend!
