ShortStopPasilaiciai Overview
First Impressions
When I first pulled up to ShortStopPasilaiciai, I’ll be honest — it’s not the kind of place that screams sophistication from the street. This four-star hotel sits quietly in the Pasilaiciai district, and while it might not have the flashiest exterior, there’s something refreshingly unpretentious about it. The free parking right on site was actually a huge relief, especially since finding a decent spot in Vilnius can be a real headache. You know what struck me most? The staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests arrive, which isn’t always a given these days.
The Neighborhood Reality
Pasilaiciai isn’t exactly the tourist heart of Vilnius — and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This residential area gives you a glimpse of how locals actually live, away from the Old Town crowds. You’re about a 15-minute drive from the historic center, which means you get the best of both worlds: authentic Lithuanian neighborhood vibes and easy access to the main attractions. I noticed quite a few couples during my stay, and it makes sense — there’s something quietly romantic about staying somewhere that feels more like a local secret than a tourist trap.
Room Comfort
The room itself was… well, comfortable enough for what you’re paying. Nothing fancy, but clean and functional with decent-sized windows that let in good natural light. The beds are firm (which I actually prefer), and the bathroom, while compact, had reliable hot water and decent water pressure. I mean, you’re not getting marble countertops or designer fixtures, but everything works as it should. The Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay, which matters more than people sometimes admit when you’re traveling.
Breakfast Experience
The breakfast setup surprised me in a good way. They offer both continental and buffet options, and while it’s not going to win any culinary awards, there’s enough variety to keep most people happy. The local touches — like proper Lithuanian dark bread and some regional cheese selections — showed they’re making an effort beyond the standard hotel fare. The coffee was actually decent too, which honestly can make or break a morning when you’re traveling. The dining area gets busy around 8 AM, so if you prefer a quieter start to your day, aim for earlier or later.
Why Guests Love It
Look, ShortStopPasilaiciai isn’t trying to be something it’s not, and that’s exactly why it works for certain travelers. Couples seem to particularly appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and the fact that you’re not constantly surrounded by tour groups or business conferences. The 6.3 rating might seem modest, but I think it reflects realistic expectations — this is solid, no-nonsense accommodation that delivers on the basics without any pretense. If you want to experience Vilnius like a temporary local rather than a typical tourist, and you don’t need fancy amenities to enjoy your trip, this place actually makes a lot of sense.

Reviews of ShortStopPasilaiciai
Very Good – Simona from Lithuania – July 31, 2025 (8/10)
Well equipped quiet place for a good night's rest, nice, respectful host.
What could be improved: Yeah, of course the place could be cleaner, it is not up to hotel standards, but good price, so depends on what you are looking for and how picky you are, in my case there was a bit of dust, but it was not disgusting. The deposit request may look shady in the beginning as it is to a foreign account, but received it back with about a weeks delay, host was communicating with me throughout the process. So nothing too bad, honestly.A frustrating and disappointing stay with a greedy, unresponsive host. – Namaraj from Estonia – July 23, 2025 (1/10)
What could be improved: Absolutely Terrible—Still No Deposit Refund After Nearly a Month
I stayed at ShortStopPasilaiciai on June 24–25 and had a very disappointing and frustrating experience, especially regarding the EUR 100 damage deposit.
At the time of booking, it was clearly stated that the deposit would be collected via bank transfer upon arrival and refunded within 14 days of check-out, pending a property inspection. I waited the full 14 days — no refund.
I messaged the host — no response. I called — no answer. Eventually, the host even blocked my number, which is not just unprofessional, it’s unacceptable.
Now it’s been almost a month, and I’ve still not received the deposit.
This host showed no integrity, and the lack of communication or accountability is shocking.
Avoid this property at all costs. If you’re thinking about booking here, be warned: your deposit may never come back, and you’ll be left dealing with a host who ignores and blocks you.Once we got in was good – Deb from New Zealand – May 18, 2025 (8/10)
Large rooms, nice bath
What could be improved: Arrival info inaccurateNice stay in Vilnius – Anne from Germany – May 4, 2025 (7/10)
Communication was good, easy self check-in. The building is easy to find, Shops and Restaurants close by, area is safe, busses run every 5 minutes to the centre, 40min drive. Parking possible close to the apartment. Fast wifi. There is a Tv, hair dryer and towels. I recommend to stay here!
What could be improved: Could be a bit cleaner. And "breakfast" isnt really breakfast. It is joghurt in the fridge. There was also juices and one bottle of milk (already open), so I didn't try it. I read those Information before, so I didn't expect much and I don't really mind. But for guests who need a proper breakfast (and expect that), maybe don't expect much.Nice place, would stay again – Jurij from United Kingdom – January 28, 2025 (10/10)
Affordable, comfortable, air conditioned, lot’s of snacks
What could be improved: All goodDisappointing – Dzmitry from Lithuania – December 6, 2024 (4/10)
The only nice thing about the place is the internet connection speed. Also grocery shops are located nearby.
The breakfast was just a set of tea bags, instant coffee bags and some snacks, including not really fresh apples in the fridge. Also there were several juices in the fridge, but I didn't risk to try.
What could be improved: The overall smell in the apartment was awful, the bed linen was not changed as it seems, there was a smell of sweat from the previous tenant, so I changed the linen by myself.
The host was communicating in Lithuanian at first, and only after my check-in, he started to communicate in English.
The apartment and its state does not worth the money being asked for.
Parking is a public one, so keep in mind that after 18:00 local time, and during any time on w/e it will be a big challenge to find a free place to park your car.First night in another place , Map position was wrong . an adventure – Omar from Italy – July 16, 2024 (6/10)
really knid owner with all confortalbe things … beverages , cakes , coffee…
What could be improved: the position of the place was diferent than where Booking.com said on the hostel page. Nothing is wrote on the door so i walk around 2 hours and in the end i wnet in another hotel that was open in the night , i spent 120 € there and sti i have nothing back from the owner or from BookingExceptional – Svetlana from Georgia – May 14, 2024 (10/10)
We had a great stay here for 4 days! The apartment is nice and clean, with a working place, which is important for us as we work 🙂 It’s about 45 minutes bus drive from the centre, in a green and nice area. The host left us some food in the fridge for breakfast, which was very cute! Overall, we totally recommend this place 😍
Exceptional – Igor from Lithuania – March 30, 2024 (10/10)
A perfect place for a short stay. The apartment is well equipped, it has everything that's needed.
A quiet, comfortable apartment for a peaceful vacation – Mārtiņš from Latvia – March 11, 2024 (10/10)
A very quiet apartment with almost everything you need (flaws will be in the minuses) for living even for a week or more. The neighbors are really very quiet, the view from the balcony is nice, see the picture in the attachment. The owner of the apartment is very welcoming and kind.
What could be improved: A microwave oven and a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine were required for more comfortable living. The apartment is far from the center, which I think was the only drawback that should be taken into account.
