The entrance is tucked away in this residential block, and you’ll need to look for the K6-1 apartment marker to find it. It’s basically someone’s converted apartment on the sixth floor, and honestly? The elevator situation is hit or miss – I mean, when it’s working, great, but I’d mentally prepare for some stairs just in case.

The thing about this place is that it’s trying to be a boutique experience, and I get what they’re going for with the rooftop terrace concept. The view from up there actually isn’t terrible – you can see bits of Vilnius’s old town if you crane your neck the right way, and during summer evenings it’s sort of peaceful in that urban way. But here’s where I have to pump the brakes a bit: the execution just doesn’t match the ambition. The apartment itself feels like someone decided to rent out their spare room and called it a hotel. The furnishings are basic IKEA stuff, the bathroom is tiny (and I mean really tiny – you’ll bump your elbows), and the soundproofing is pretty much nonexistent. You’ll hear everything from the neighbors, the street below, and honestly, the building just has that creaky old Soviet-era vibe that some people love and others… don’t.

What really gets me is the pricing versus what you actually get. I’ve stayed in proper guesthouses in Vilnius’s Užupis district for less money that gave me way more character and comfort. If you’re dead set on this area – and Dūmų street is decent, close to the river and about a fifteen-minute walk to Cathedral Square – you’d probably be better off looking at some of the established places nearby. The owner seems nice enough when you can reach them, but the communication was spotty during my stay. Check-in was this whole complicated thing with meeting someone at a specific time, and there’s no real reception or support if something goes wrong. The rooftop terrace is the main selling point, sure, but it’s basically a small deck with some plastic furniture – not exactly the Instagram-worthy setup you might be imagining. If you’re backpacking and just need a crash pad, maybe, but if you’re looking for that boutique hotel experience in Vilnius, honestly, keep looking.
