Rinktinės apartments Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first saw that Rinktinės apartments was on the 7th floor of a building in Žirmūnai, I wasn’t sure what to expect. This isn’t exactly the touristy Old Town area most visitors stick to, but you know what? That turned out to be exactly why I ended up loving this place so much.
The thing about staying in Žirmūnai is that you’re actually living like a local for a few days. I mean, you wake up and there’s this quiet residential vibe – kids heading to school, people walking their dogs along Rinktinės street. It’s got this authentic Lithuanian neighborhood feel that you just can’t get when you’re crammed into the city center with all the other tourists. The apartment itself sits pretty high up, and honestly, the views from the 7th floor are something else – especially if you catch the sunset over the Neris River area. The space feels genuinely lived-in rather than sterile hotel-room clean, which I actually prefer. You’ve got proper kitchen facilities (not just a mini fridge and kettle situation), and the Wi-Fi was solid throughout my stay.
What really sold me on this place though was how easy it made exploring Vilnius feel. There’s a bus stop basically right outside that connects you to the center in about 15 minutes, but here’s the insider tip – if you’re up for a decent walk, you can actually stroll along the river path and end up in the heart of things in maybe 25-30 minutes. I did that walk several mornings and it became my favorite part of the day. Plus, you’re close to some really good local spots that most tourists never discover – there’s this little grocery store called Maxima just a few minutes away where you can grab everything you need, and the prices are what locals pay, not inflated tourist rates. The building itself is pretty typical Soviet-era construction, so don’t expect boutique hotel aesthetics, but everything works well and it’s surprisingly quiet considering you’re in an apartment block. I was worried about noise from neighbors, but honestly, I barely heard anyone. Check-in was smooth – they send you clear instructions beforehand, which is crucial since there’s no front desk situation. That 9.5 rating makes total sense to me now. It’s not trying to be fancy, but it delivers exactly what you want: a clean, comfortable base that gives you real insight into how people actually live in Vilnius, without breaking the bank or leaving you feeling disconnected from the city.

Very nice apartment with amazing views close to the city center – Gabor from Hungary – August 1, 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is on the 7th floor of a renovated block of flats. The windows are facing to the west. The living room with the big bed and the sofa has a big covered balcony. The kitchen has very nice views too. The house is next to a busier road, but the windows are sound proof, so the traffic doesn't f disturb.
Just next to the apartment there is a big market, supermarket, restaurants, bakeries, shops etc etc. Public transport connection is very good, the bus stop is 2 min walk and buses run every few minutes to all directions.
Great communication with the friendly host.Exceptional – Markus from Germany – June 25, 2025 (10/10)
