Renesans nr. 6 Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Renesans nr. 6, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries come when you’re not overthinking things. This little gem completely caught me off guard, and now I actually find myself recommending it to friends who are tired of sterile chain hotels.
The thing that hits you right away is how much the staff actually cares – I mean, really cares, not that fake hospitality you get at bigger places. During check-in, the receptionist noticed I was carrying camera gear and casually mentioned the best spots for morning light around the neighborhood. That’s the kind of local insight you just don’t get elsewhere. The rooms themselves are clean and comfortable (honestly, way more comfortable than the star rating suggests), with this nice mix of modern touches and old-world charm that doesn’t feel forced or theme-park-ish. The beds are properly firm, the shower pressure is decent, and – this might sound weird but it matters – the walls are thick enough that you’re not listening to your neighbors’ entire conversation.
What really surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re right in the middle of things. I’m usually a light sleeper, but I slept through the night every time I stayed there. The breakfast spread isn’t fancy, but it’s fresh and filling, and they actually have proper coffee (not that watery stuff so many European hotels serve). You can tell they put thought into the little details – like having enough outlets near the bed for your phone charger, or keeping the lobby stocked with maps that aren’t from 2015. The 9.4 rating honestly makes sense once you spend a night there. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I really appreciate. Sure, you won’t find a spa or a rooftop bar, but what you get is genuine hospitality and a place that feels more like staying at a friend’s well-run guesthouse than a corporate hotel. If you’re the type of traveler who values character over amenities and wants to feel like you’ve discovered something real rather than just booked another generic room, this place will probably win you over too.

The flat was clean and well put together. The bathrooms shower is so nice and relaxing after a day of walking around the city. Overall I felt really comfortable as a young solo traveler. Super close to the bus station. Also for breakfast you can just walk down the street turn right and there is the market hall with lots of good food.
