Renaissance Apartments by Reside Baltic Overview

Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places in Vilnius, but Renaissance Apartments by Reside Baltic really caught me off guard – in the best possible way. When you first walk up to Sodu Street (which honestly, half the taxi drivers still need GPS to find), you’re not expecting much from the narrow cobblestone approach. But then you step inside and it’s like… well, someone actually thought about what travelers need instead of just throwing together another cookie-cutter place.

The thing that got me immediately was how they’ve managed to keep that old Vilnius character – you know, those thick walls and high ceilings that make you feel like you’re staying in actual history – while somehow fitting in all the modern stuff that actually works. I mean, the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every time someone uses the microwave, which is honestly rare around Old Town. The apartments themselves feel more like temporary homes than hotel rooms, and after spending a few days there, I started understanding why people book these places for weeks at a time. You’ve got proper kitchen space (not just a sad mini-fridge situation), and the windows in most units look out over either the quiet courtyard or toward the spires you came to Vilnius to see in the first place.

What really sold me on the place was the location – you’re literally a three-minute walk from Pilies Street where all the tourist action happens, but Sodu Street itself stays surprisingly quiet, even during summer when the Old Town gets pretty crowded. I could actually sleep with the windows open, which is saying something since I’m usually the person complaining about street noise. The staff genuinely knows their stuff too – not just the usual “there’s a good restaurant down the street” advice, but actual insider knowledge about which markets have the best local produce and when the cathedral crowds thin out. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, though I’d recommend arriving before 6 PM since the front desk isn’t 24/7 like bigger hotels. Honestly, for a 4-star place with an 8.8 rating, I was expecting to find some catch that explained why the price point wasn’t higher, but after four nights there, I’m still not sure what that catch would be. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and room service, this isn’t your spot, but if you want to actually live in Vilnius for a few days rather than just pass through it, Renaissance Apartments gets it right.

Reviews of Renaissance Apartments by Reside Baltic

  • Nice and clean – Inger from Norway – July 31, 2025 (8/10)

Nice apartment in a safe building, with access code to enter the building. The apartment was clean and had basic equipment in the kitchen. There's no housekeeping during the stay, so you'll need to wash your towel or bring with you extra if you're staying many nights. The apartment is equipped with a washing machine. The staff was helpful from the chat. Self check-in with good instructions received on email.

What could be improved: There could have been extra garbage bags in the kitchen.

  • A great located and comfortable place to stay while visiting Vilnius – Lola from Netherlands – May 31, 2025 (10/10)

Its great location and how comfortable and accessible it was

What could be improved: The tub was not working and I texted the owners and they said they could come to check it and fix it and they did not do so. Except from that, it was a great stay!

  • Clean, cozy room. Close to all necesary locations. – Ieva from Lithuania – August 12, 2024 (10/10)

Good location, close to stations and Halės market, close to city center.

  • Wonderful – Hakan from Cyprus – July 15, 2025 (9/10)

So we rent 3 rooms for 4 nights. Place ia close to city center, you can walk everywhere and also it was a calm neighborhood. Rooms were big, with iron washing machines etc. a big bath tab and always hot water. So money value is really high. Garden was nice. Building was clean

What could be improved: Towels were old and could be in better condition generally. They can be more. May be more glasses and cups. Minor things. Generally there was nothing big to complain.

  • Very Good – Roman from Czech Republic – September 16, 2024 (8/10)

    Clean apartment

  • Fair – Nadine from Malta – August 15, 2025 (5/10)

    Good location

What could be improved: Cleanliness could be improved…

  • Huge hassle. – Janis from Latvia – October 21, 2024 (3/10)

    Good location.

What could be improved: ID check after booking on 3rd party website.

Full room inspection to do and report any damage to get back security deposit.

Mandatory apartment cleaning before leaving to get back security deposit.

Stained and holed towels. Broken sofa, broken cooking surface, broken toilet seat, small and unusable TV, slow and unusable WiFi.

Apartment cold, was at 18 degrees when arrived and took 1 day to heat up to 21 degree.

No sugar, salt, coffee and no toiletries.

Only paid parking in proximity of apartment.

Tetiana from Latvia – August 24, 2025 (10/10)

What could be improved: Так и не нашли мусорные баки

  • Un bell'appartamento a due passi dal centro. – Luisa from Italy – August 22, 2025 (9/10)

  • Very Good – Hanssmann from Japan – August 8, 2025 (8/10)

Although the location is close to the station, market and old town area, it was quiet and we could take an enough rest at night.

What could be improved: better if there were kitchen and laundry detergents.
