Provence Home Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Provence Home on Pylimo street, you immediately get that “hidden gem” feeling — it’s tucked right into the cobblestone heart of Vilnius Old Town, but somehow feels like a well-kept secret. The building itself has that understated charm you find in the Baltic capitals, nothing flashy, just solid and welcoming. When couples are rating the location 9.5 out of 10, you know you’re onto something special here. The property’s exterior showcases classic Lithuanian architecture with its weathered brick facade and traditional wooden window frames that have witnessed decades of Old Town history.
Location & Old Town Magic
The location is what makes this three-star property punch above its weight. You’re literally steps from Cathedral Square and the main pedestrian streets, but Pylimo itself is quiet enough that you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM. The property scored 9.6 for location — and after spending time here, I understand why. You can walk to Gediminas Tower in about ten minutes, hit up the best coffee shops in the morning, and still feel like you’re staying somewhere authentically local rather than touristy. The surrounding cobblestone streets lead to hidden courtyards, artisan workshops, and family-run cafes that most visitors never discover.
The Room Experience
The room setup is what you’d expect from a well-run guesthouse — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged without any unnecessary frills. What really stands out are the beds, which guests consistently rave about for comfort. I actually slept better here than at some much pricier places I’ve stayed in the Baltics. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re designed smartly, and you get that cozy European vibe that makes you want to linger with a book and some tea. Each room features carefully selected furnishings that blend modern comfort with traditional Baltic design elements, creating an atmosphere that feels both contemporary and authentically Lithuanian.
Practical Comforts
What I appreciate about Provence Home is how they handle the basics really well — reliable WiFi, good water pressure, and heating that actually works, which is crucial in Lithuanian winters. The staff knows the neighborhood inside and out, so they’ll point you toward the best local spots rather than just the obvious tourist traps. There’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels more like a well-run local operation than a corporate hotel chain. The attention to detail extends to thoughtful touches like locally sourced toiletries, quality linens that are changed daily, and blackout curtains that ensure peaceful sleep even during the bright Baltic summer nights.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.9 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve experienced the place — it delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not. You’re paying for an excellent location, genuinely comfortable accommodations, and that rare combination of being central but peaceful. For couples especially, there’s something romantic about wandering back through the Old Town’s narrow streets to your cozy base. It’s the kind of place where you end up extending your stay because leaving feels like abandoning a good friend’s guest room. The apartment-style setup with a kitchenette adds practical value for longer stays, allowing guests to prepare simple meals while experiencing local market ingredients and traditional Lithuanian flavors in the comfort of their temporary home.

The place is very tidy and stylish, feels like at home with all the necessary amenities. The location is top in very center but with good isolation of noises. It was a bit hot in the apartment, but there was a ventilator so at the end it was just fine!

Justinas from Lithuania (8/10)
The location is great. It's easy to find a parking spot nearby, considering it is in a really busy area with lots of restaurants.
Maxim from Israel (9/10)
Great location, close to the city center. There is a small super market in the same building.
The apartment located on the second floor, you will need to clime only 18 stairs.
Our kids loved the fact that there is a second floor bedroom and played hide and seek all over the apartment.
There is a double mattress on each bed (and not two single mattresses put together).
The second floor bedroom is very nice and cozy.
The host responded almost immediately to our questions.Ld from United Kingdom (9/10)
