The thing that struck me immediately was how quiet it gets once you’re inside, which is actually pretty remarkable considering you’re literally in the heart of Vilnius Old Town. I mean, you’re surrounded by cobblestone streets and medieval architecture, but somehow the double-glazed windows do their job. The apartment I stayed in had this perfect balance – modern enough that everything worked properly (thank god for reliable wifi and good water pressure), but they kept some of those charming original details that remind you you’re sleeping in a building with serious history. The wooden floors had that authentic creak that somehow felt cozy rather than annoying, and the ceilings were higher than what you’d find in most modern places.

What really sold me on this place was the location without the tourist trap feeling. You’re a two-minute walk from Cathedral Square – I actually timed it because I’m weird like that – but you’re tucked away on a residential street where locals actually live and work. There’s this little bakery around the corner where I grabbed coffee every morning, and the staff clearly knew the neighborhood regulars. The Old Town can get pretty crowded during summer evenings, especially around the main squares, but Aguonų gatvė stays relatively peaceful. I could leave my windows open at night without being kept awake by drunk tourists stumbling over cobblestones, which honestly made all the difference for my sleep quality.

The practical stuff matters too – check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that awkward key-pickup-from-a-random-café situation you sometimes get with apartment rentals. The kitchen was actually functional (I made pasta twice), and they’d stocked basic supplies like salt and coffee filters. Storage space was decent, though if you’re the type who overpacks, you might need to get creative. The bathroom was compact but modern, with one of those rainfall showerheads that actually has good pressure.

Here’s what really impressed me about this place – it feels like staying in someone’s carefully maintained home rather than a sterile rental unit. The owner clearly pays attention to details, from the art on the walls to making sure the wifi reaches every corner. At a 9.6 rating, you’d expect something special, and honestly, it delivers on that promise without being pretentious about it. For three stars, you’re getting an experience that punches well above its weight class, especially considering you’re staying in one of the most desirable parts of Vilnius without paying those premium Old Town hotel prices.

  The location is fantastic: just a short walk to numerous restaurants, cafés, a shopping mall, the old town, museums, and more. It’s also conveniently close to the bus and train stations, making getting around incredibly easy.
  
  Another big plus was the abundance of natural light filling the apartment, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere throughout the day.
  
  The host was very kind and allowed us to check in earlier, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free.

  The apt (no 1) was amazing. Very cosy, spacious and all felt new. It also had a walk in wardrobe! Location was great and 10 min walk to old town streets.
