Here’s the thing about staying in Snipiskes that the guidebooks don’t tell you: you’re perfectly positioned to explore Vilnius the way people who live here actually do it. There’s a decent grocery store within walking distance (not one of those overpriced tourist traps), and you can hop on public transport easily if you don’t feel like walking everywhere. I actually ended up discovering some great local spots just wandering around the neighborhood – there’s this little café about five minutes away that makes better coffee than half the places in the tourist zone. The apartment building itself is well-maintained, parking was straightforward when I had a rental car, and check-in was refreshingly simple. No fuss, no twenty-minute spiel about amenities I’ll never use. You get your keys, you get settled, and you get on with enjoying Vilnius. For the price point, especially considering you get proper apartment space instead of being crammed into a tiny hotel room, it’s honestly hard to beat.
