The location is perfect for exploring Vilnius without dealing with Old Town tourist chaos. You’re close enough to walk everywhere (about 15 minutes to Cathedral Square), but you’ll actually get some sleep at night since Kryžkelio is refreshingly quiet. I loved that I could easily grab groceries at the nearby Maxima or pop into local cafés that locals frequent, not just tourist traps.

What really sets Pasakų pirtelė apart is the attention to detail that you only notice when you’ve stayed in dozens of generic hotels. The rooms have this cozy, almost whimsical atmosphere – think carefully chosen vintage furniture mixed with modern comforts, and yes, there’s actually a sauna element that feels authentic rather than gimmicky. The owners clearly put thought into every corner, from the quality of the linens (seriously soft) to having proper blackout capabilities for those bright Lithuanian summer nights. I also appreciated that parking wasn’t a nightmare – something anyone who’s driven in Vilnius will tell you is no small feat. The check-in process was refreshingly personal too; you actually talk to someone who knows the property inside and out rather than dealing with a disinterested desk clerk reading from a script. You know what impressed me most? The little things that show they understand travelers – like having a proper luggage rack, enough outlets near the bed, and water pressure that doesn’t leave you standing under a sad drizzle. It’s clear why this place maintains such an impossibly high rating, and honestly, it’s the kind of spot that makes you want to plan your next Vilnius trip just so you can stay here again.

  A peaceful place in the middle of a forrest, sauna, outdoor sitting area, and grill are built with quality. Everything was clean and prepared in advance. Tea, coffee, utensils, plates, and glasses on site, also grilling equipment, was prepared and very comfortable to use.
  
  What could be improved: There was no fridge, nearby neighbors got a bit noisy at one point, playing loud music and yelling.
