I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Ozas Park Apartments on Lebedžio street, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard apartment building. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that surprise you, and this little gem in the Verkiai district absolutely did that.

The thing about this area is that it’s actually perfect if you want to experience Vilnius like a local instead of being stuck in the touristy old town bubble. I mean, don’t get me wrong – the old town is gorgeous and you should definitely spend time there – but staying up in Verkiai gives you this authentic residential vibe that most visitors never see. You’re literally surrounded by families going about their daily lives, kids playing in the courtyards, and honestly, it’s refreshing. Plus, the Ozas shopping center is right there (hence the name, I guess), which turned out to be incredibly handy for grabbing groceries or just wandering around when the weather wasn’t cooperating. The apartments themselves really impressed me – they’ve got that clean, minimalist Scandinavian influence that works so well, and the kitchenettes are actually functional, not just for show like in some places.

What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night, especially compared to hotels in the city center where you’re dealing with late-night revelers and early morning delivery trucks. Here, you might hear the occasional tram in the distance, but it’s more soothing than disruptive. The staff seem genuinely happy to help too – not in that over-rehearsed hospitality way, but like they actually care about whether you’re comfortable. Parking was straightforward (which anyone who’s driven in European city centers will appreciate), and getting into town is simple enough with the public transport connections. I actually found myself taking evening walks through the neighborhood just because it felt so… well, normal, I suppose. You’ll pass little cafes where locals grab their morning coffee, small parks where people walk their dogs, that sort of thing. It’s the kind of place where you start to understand why Vilnius has this reputation for being livable rather than just visitable, if that makes sense. Sure, you’re not going to stumble out your front door into medieval streets, but you’re also not paying medieval street prices, and sometimes that trade-off is exactly what you need.

  Tvarkinga, švaru, gražiai įrengta, netoli PC Ozas, Vichy vandens parkas, Compensa arena, yra terasa, tai galima papusryčiauti lauke. Yra viskas, ko reikia ilgesniam apsistojimui: viryklė, orkaitė, virdulys, skalbimo mašina, indai, stalo įrankiai ir pan. Yra netgi keletas skėčių, jeigu viešnagės metu pabjurtų oras:) Apsistojant kitą kartą pasiimtume šlepetes, kad būtų galima laisviau išeiti į terasą. Šeimininkas malonus, atvyko anksčiau sutarto laiko.

  Paprastas, bet švarus butas netoli prekybos centro Ozas. Bute galima rasti visko, ko reikia trumpai viešnagei.
  
  What could be improved: Bute buvo šiek tiek šalta, net atsukus iki galo šildymą, buvo šaltoka. Mums iškilo problema su parkingo vieta, teko važinėti po rajoną ratais, kol vos radome vieną vietą. Buto šeimininkas minėjo, kad tai retas atvejis, gal tiesiog taip pasitaikė.
