Old Town Apartment on quiet private street Overview
First Impressions
Walking down Klaipėdos street for the first time, I almost missed the entrance to Old Town Apartment on quiet private street — and honestly, that’s part of its charm. This four-star property sits tucked away on what feels like Vilnius’s best-kept secret, a narrow cobblestone lane that somehow escaped the tourist crowds despite being smack in the middle of everything. You know what struck me most? The complete silence once you step off the main street, which is pretty remarkable considering you’re literally in the heart of Vilnius Old Town.
Location Magic
I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Europe, but this location genuinely surprised me. You’re about two minutes from Cathedral Square — I timed it — yet the street feels like a hidden residential pocket that locals have been keeping to themselves. The apartment building itself has this understated elegance that fits perfectly with the medieval surroundings. What I really appreciated was how easy it became to slip into a local rhythm here, grabbing morning coffee from the little café around the corner before the tour groups even wake up.
The Space Itself
The room exceeded what I expected from the photos, which doesn’t always happen. Everything feels thoughtfully chosen rather than just functional — the wooden floors have character, the windows actually open (you’d be surprised how rare that is), and there’s enough space to properly unpack without living out of a suitcase. The kitchen setup works well if you want to grab fresh bread and local cheese from the market, though honestly, with so many great restaurants within walking distance, I mostly used it for morning coffee and late-night snacks.
Why Couples Love It
I can absolutely see why this place gets such high marks from couples — there’s something genuinely romantic about the setting that doesn’t feel forced or touristy. The quiet street means you can actually have conversations without competing with traffic noise, and the Old Town location puts you right in the middle of those evening strolls that make Vilnius so special. The medieval architecture surrounding you creates this almost fairy-tale atmosphere, especially when the street lamps come on at dusk.
Why Guests Keep Coming Back
What sets this place apart isn’t just the location score of 9.3 (though that’s well-deserved) — it’s how the whole experience feels authentic rather than manufactured. You’re staying in a real neighborhood where people actually live, not some sanitized hotel district. The combination of being centrally located but peacefully tucked away is pretty rare, and once you experience it, other accommodations start feeling either too noisy or too isolated. I mean, where else can you be this close to major sights while still feeling like you’ve discovered something special that most visitors never find?

What could be improved: Couldn't get the AC to work, and the shower floods the bathroom after a few minsExceptional – Artyom from United Kingdom – April 1, 2025 (10/10)

We stayed for one night. The apartment is super cozy and warm, with everything you need. It’s tucked away on a quiet private street in the Old Town but is still close to everything. 15 mins walk from Maurizio pizza place (on Town Hall square) where we had the best pasta and pizza! We’re definitely coming back soon to stay longer. Highly recommended!
