Novotel Vilnius Centre Overview

First Impressions

Walking into Novotel Vilnius Centre, you immediately get that feeling of being right where you want to be. I mean, you’re literally on Gedimino prospektas — the main artery of Vilnius — so everything feels alive and accessible from the moment you step through the doors. The lobby has that polished, modern vibe you’d expect from a four-star property, but it doesn’t feel stuffy or overly formal. There’s something refreshingly straightforward about the place that I actually appreciated after dealing with some overly complicated check-ins at other hotels.

Location & Neighborhood

Honestly, the location here is pretty much unbeatable if you want to experience Vilnius properly. You’re right in the Old Town, which means cobblestone streets and medieval architecture are literally outside your window, but you’re also on the modern side of things with shops and cafes everywhere. I noticed couples seem to absolutely love staying here — and I get why, because you can walk to romantic dinner spots in about two minutes, then stroll through some of the most beautiful historic streets in Europe. The fact that so many guests come back repeatedly tells you something about how this spot grows on people.

The Room

The room itself strikes that nice balance between contemporary comfort and practical design. You know what I liked? The windows are big enough that you actually feel connected to the city below, whether you’re looking out at the bustling street life or catching glimpses of the Old Town’s red rooftops. The beds are properly comfortable — not too soft, not too firm — and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re camping in a closet. The bathroom setup is clean and efficient, which honestly matters more than fancy marble when you’re trying to get ready for a day of exploring.

Breakfast Experience

I have to say, the breakfast here really surprised me in the best way. They’ve got this buffet setup that covers pretty much every dietary need you can think of — continental classics, vegetarian options, vegan choices, even gluten-free stuff that doesn’t taste like cardboard. The quality is genuinely good, not just hotel-adequate, and if you’re rushing out for an early morning flight or tour, they’ll actually pack things to go for you. It’s one of those details that makes you realize they’re thinking about what travelers actually need, not just what looks good in photos.

Why Guests Love It

What really sets this place apart is how it manages to feel both central and comfortable without the chaos you sometimes get with prime location hotels. The staff seems to genuinely know the area well — they’ll point you toward the good local spots, not just the obvious tourist traps. And there’s something to be said for a hotel where the food is actually worth eating; the restaurant here gets genuine recommendations from people who’ve tried it, which isn’t always the case. You’re paying for that prime Gedimino prospektas address, sure, but you’re also getting a place that understands what makes a stay memorable rather than just convenient.

  • Sedzik from Sweden (8/10)

The location was just great. Almost smack in the middle of town and just a few steps away from the old city. Main street in front of hotel gets closed over weekends and after hours so it is nice an calm. Will stay here again. If you are on the top floors towards the street you can get super nice views. Rooms are large.
