The Gates of Dawn are literally around the corner, sure, but you’re also perfectly positioned to wander into the Old Town without dealing with the tourist crowd chaos first thing in the morning. I’d grab coffee from that little place on Aušros Vartų street (you’ll smell the beans roasting if you walk past around 8 AM) and have the cobblestone streets mostly to myself. The location puts you in this sweet spot where you feel connected to everything but you’re not drowning in tour groups taking selfies outside your window at 7 AM.

There’s decent soundproofing too, which matters more than you’d think – Vilnius can get surprisingly lively, especially on weekends when locals are out celebrating whatever Lithuanians celebrate (and trust me, they find reasons). The building itself has character without being creaky, if that makes sense. Check-in was straightforward, though I’d recommend coordinating arrival times since it’s not a traditional hotel setup. One small thing – the kitchen’s compact but functional, perfect if you want to grab groceries from the IKI down the street and avoid restaurant prices for every meal. Actually, that’s probably part of why this place scores so well with people – it gives you options without making you feel like you’re roughing it in someone’s spare room.

  Appartamento molto curato nei dettagli, pulito e di gusto. Una sorpresa considerando che il condominio non si presenta altrettanto bene. L'alloggio è appena dietro la stazione ed è molto vicino a piedi dal centro. Non avevamo l'automobile, ma penso che sia possibile parcheggiare gratuitamente in strada anche se i parcheggi sono scarsi e non so quanto siano raccomandabili. L'accesso all'appartamento è self service. Ci sono istruzioni dettagliate da seguire. Il tastierino numerico per aprire il portone condominiale è poco illuminato. E' utile aiutarsi con una torcia ed è importante sapere che esiste un tasto con disegnata una chiave importante per aprire il portone. Noi abbiamo avuto difficoltà da questo punto di vista. Abbiamo dovuto scomodare il proprietario alle 23:50 per farci aiutare e si è dimostrato piuttosto contrariato.
