Walk five minutes toward the river and you’ll hit some of the city’s best cafes that locals actually frequent – not the ones plastered all over Instagram. The Neris is right there if you’re into morning runs or just want to sit by the water with coffee. And getting to Old Town? It’s close enough to walk when the weather’s nice (maybe 15-20 minutes), but there’s also good bus connections if you’re feeling lazy or it’s one of those gray Baltic days. I actually found myself spending more time exploring Naujamiestis itself than I expected – there’s this whole network of quiet streets and little courtyards that most visitors never see.
