I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Naujamiescio Studio on Švitrigailos gatvė, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The building itself is pretty understated, tucked into this quieter stretch of Naujamiestis that most tourists never really explore. But you know what? That actually turned out to be one of its best features. While everyone else is fighting for elbow room in Old Town, you’re staying in what feels like a genuinely local neighborhood.

The studio setup is exactly what it sounds like – compact, functional spaces that work well if you’re not planning to spend your entire day lounging around the room. I mean, the rooms aren’t going to win any design awards, but they’ve got everything you actually need, and honestly, the simplicity grows on you. The kitchenette situation is pretty decent too, which comes in handy since there’s a Maxima just a few blocks away if you want to grab some local groceries instead of eating out every meal. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Švitrigailos isn’t one of those streets where you’ll have drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM, so you can actually get some sleep.

Location-wise, this is where things get interesting. You’re about a fifteen-minute walk to the heart of Old Town, but the route takes you through some parts of the city that feel more authentic than the polished tourist areas. There’s this great little coffee spot called Mint Vinetu just around the corner that locals actually frequent – not the kind of place you’d stumble across following a guidebook. The bus connections are solid too, with several lines running along nearby streets, so getting around is pretty straightforward once you figure out the system. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving (street parking fills up during the day), but honestly, most of what you’ll want to see in Vilnius is walkable from here anyway. It’s one of those places that works particularly well if you’re staying for more than just a quick weekend – you start to feel like you’re living in the city rather than just passing through it.
