The location is what really sold me on it. You’re right in the heart of the CBD, which means you can literally walk to most of the stuff you’d want to see without dealing with taxis or figuring out public transport. I spent my mornings grabbing coffee from this little place around the corner (the staff there knew all the regulars), then wandering through the business district watching the city wake up. What I loved was how quiet it got in the evenings – you’d think being in the CBD would mean constant noise, but honestly, once the office workers head home, it’s surprisingly peaceful. The rooms have decent soundproofing too, which I definitely appreciated after staying in places where you can hear every conversation in the hallway.

The staff here – and I’m not just saying this because I’m supposed to – they’re genuinely helpful without being overly chatty. Check-in was smooth, no weird upselling attempts, and when I asked about where to find decent food late at night, the guy at the front desk actually drew me a little map instead of just pointing vaguely down the street. The rooms themselves are clean and functional, nothing Instagram-worthy but everything works properly. The shower has good water pressure (you know that’s always a gamble), and the bed is comfortable enough that I actually slept well despite being in a new place. There’s this whole minimalist vibe going on that I found pretty relaxing after walking around busy streets all day. Sure, you’re not getting luxury finishes or a fancy minibar, but honestly? Sometimes you just want a place that does the basics really well without charging you extra for marble countertops you’ll barely notice. The WiFi is solid too – I was able to work from the room when I needed to, which isn’t always a given even at pricier hotels. What really impressed me was how well-maintained everything felt; you can tell they actually care about keeping the place up rather than just letting it slide because it’s not a luxury property.
